“Not Impressed at all”
The place is in an a shady area. I seriously felt like I was going to get robbed on my walk from my car to the room. The bed was so uncomfortable and felt like I was sleeping on concrete. I had an interview at a nearby hospital the next day and I couldn't get any sleep at night because people next door were under the influence of drugs and laughing loudly all night - I think you know what drug I'm talking about.
“Good deal for the price”
nothing fancy - but very reasonably priced considering it's a short drive to Manhattan where rooms would cost four or five times this much
“Motel? or Hotel?”
looked more like a place you go to for a few hours of "fun" than a hotel you go to for a weekend get away.
“Just fine for the money”
I have no complaints. It was a room when I needed it and the service was fine.
“Good for a quick stop”
This was an inexpensive hotel and it was in the right location for my business meeting the next morning. The staff was excellent and for the price I suppose it was ok. Parking was available very close to the room. I wouldn't want to stay there more than a night or two. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable. However, when I have another meeting in the area I probably will stop there again for a single night stay.
“Less than expected”
/Should make a stronger pot of coffee for those of us who took advantage of the otherwise reasonably good breakfast. First room offered was sort of inside near stairwell-- yuck, no natural light. They were good about switching immediately but new room had tiny leak in toilet so we just kept a towel there for the few days we stayed.
“Worst experience with a hotel EVER.”
I'm not picky, but this was the most horrible time I've ever had, so horrible I had to warn others. When I checked in the room was extremely small, the pictures are NOT of their basic rooms. The queen bed was a full and you could feel every spring in the mattress. The non-smoking room wreaked of smoke towards the bathroom area. The TV barely worked, movie channels hummed loudly and went in and out. While I was unpacking, a cleaning guy entered my room with his key without knocking. Good thing I wasn't undressing. At night a man walked back and forth outside my room on his phone begging someone for money so he could buy something expedia won't let me post about. This went on for hours. In the morning, the free continental breakfast they served was very stale, hard bagels and donuts. They ran out of regular coffee an hour before breakfast was over and weren't planning on making anymore, so no coffee for me. just horrible overall. Do not stay here. Wifi worked fine. Restaurant on site is expensive.
“Good Price..Convenient”
Cant beat it for the price...great restaurant...nice people at desk...clean.
“Only because it's close”
The room was VERY cramped, and the noise from the bathroom fan, due to the wind & rain outside, kept us awake during the night. Only because it's close to where I needed to be, and there were VERY few choices for hotels close to Hicksville, did I opt for the Day's Inn.
“Nice Place”
Blue Fish is a great restaurant attached to the hotel. Like Japanese? Go there!
