Clean and functionalPosted Dec 1, 2013
We stayed at the Southampton Escape over Thanksgiving while visiting family. The room was small but had everything we needed and was very clean. I only had a few complaints-- our room only had 3 hangers so we couldn't hang much up; also, the lighting and mirrors in the room were terrible. The room was very dim even with all of the lights on and the blinds open. The mirrors were small (no full length mirror) and difficult to get to-- one was hanging over the desk, the other was up very high in the bathroom and I could barely see my head in it. Aside from that, parking was easy, the staff was very friendly and the location was great-- close to Southampton, Sag Harbor and East Hampton. Also, several coffee shops nearby (no breakfast included at the hotel.) Would definitely stay there again!

Nice and simplePosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Price and near all.
Cons: Continental breakfast would be great!
Location: Location off main road is convenient. Near movie theatre, outlets, and small towns.
If your looking for a place to lay your head and feel comfortable at a reasonable price this is the place. Simple clean hotel/inn.

Good value for the locationPosted Oct 5, 2013
Stayed here for a wedding in Southampton - while the hotel is right by the highway, we stayed in the back part of the property which was a lot quieter (i.e., no noise from the road). The staff was friendly and offered directions and suggestions to us, and the room was clean and comfortable. Very good value for the location.

Reasonably priced motel in Southampton, NYPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Location was convenient to all. Was not $250 a night for an off-season room.
Cons: The management needs to add a lamp or two in each room and upgrade the showers.
Location: Shopping, dinning, beaches, wineries, art galleries, historic sites.
We stayed here at the end of September and the accommodations were comfortable for the price. Nothing fancy, but clean. Staff was very helpful. Price was reasonable. We stayed in a deluxe room. The shower was weak. Not a big deal for me but it was to my girlfriend. The room was not well lighted. It could have used an additional lamp or two. I just removed the lampshades and that took care of the problem enough for it not to be an inconvenience. Since we were not expecting to use the room for anything but sleeping and showering, it was a minor issue. Over all, I would recommend this motel to a friend and will stay there on my next trip.

No frillsPosted Sep 18, 2013
Nobody was in the office when checked. No key Dropbox. TV didn't work seamlessly. Nothing but coffee, in the morning. I didn't stay around for it.

Nothing fancy, but very clean and friendly staff.Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Comfortable, spacious, and clean.
Cons: There were empty planters on the outside of the hotel, which for a few dollars, could have been planted with flowers, to add beauty and ambiance.
Location: Most beautiful beach ever; don't miss Tate's Bakery and St. Ambroues cappuccino/gelato bar/cafe.
My daughter and I spent one night in the Hamptons and were looking for something reasonably priced (not an easy feat). While the Southampton Escape is not within walking distance of town or the beach, it is only a short drive to either. The facilities are not grand, and aside from the pool (which we only saw from a distance), there are no real amenities or services. However, it was very CLEAN, which was the saving grace. The room was spacious, and with a queen sized bed and sofa bed, a family of four could stay in one room. I also like the hardwood floors, which were attractive and cleaner than carpeting. The bed was comfortable, and there is a mini refrigerator which was nice. The staff was friendly and gave great suggestions, including directions to the only beach in town that is free (others charge $25-40).

Only in case of emergencyPosted Aug 19, 2013
Cons: There is seemingly no insulation from the sound from the highway. Ear plugs or a sound machine would be nice. I live in noisy downtown Manhattan!
Location: There is nothing to walk to except for the Mexican Restaurant next door. It smelled good, though.
To call this a hotel is a misnomer. It is a motel. And unless you are an extremely sound sleeper avoid room "B" at all costs. You are just feet away from highway 27 and you will hear and feel every truck, car and motorcycle as it rumbles by. All day and all night. The pool was desolate. The staff is friendly, the room was clean, but my room looked nothing like the pictures posted by the owners and I didn't get any sleep while I was there. I would rather pay more for a quiet room that is closer to one of the down town areas with attractions within walking distance.

Great hotel for a short break & a perfect locationPosted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Great location
Cons: On the main road
Location: 5 minutes from the Main Street and 10 minutes from Coopers Beach
This is a great little hotel in a perfect location, 5 minutes from Main Street, Southampton and around 10 minutes from Coopers Beach. I would definitely recommend a visit to this hotel if in the area. It has its own pool which we had to ourselves and the Office Manager for the hotel was really helpful, recommending where to eat.

Very good hotelPosted Feb 5, 2013
Pros: Location, mexican restaurant, bed, tv.
Cons: Shower head is for the hotel owners convenience and not for the customer.
Very good hotel. It looks brand new. Very good air conditioner. The location is great. It is close to everything. There is also a very good mexican restaurant next door.
