Disappointed

Posted Apr 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is nowhere near the quality of the other Hampton Inns we have stayed. The hotel is under construction in the rooms. We feel they should not be renting rooms that are not complete. Looks tacky. There were a large group of people when we stayed in Marshall and the breakfast was horrible. No meat, kept running out of food and acted put-out that they needed to refill things. The orange juice was undrinkable. Really should not be flying the Hampton Inn flag.

Our experience at Hamton Inn Marshall wasn't good.

When we checked in the clerk at the front desk was scsattered and trying to wait on severL people at once and was not paying attention to what she was doing. She said she was giving us room 305 and handed us the keys in an envelope clearly marked '305'. we drug all of our stuff up to room 305. The key would not work. We attempted it numerous times, to no avail. Finally a man opened the door with the chain on and said it was his room. We shlupt all of our stuff back down to the desk (INCONVENIENT). The clerk said "OH no, you're in room '304" with no apology, took our keys back and handed us keys to room 304. We shlupt our stuff back up to 304. After several attempts, the key opened the room. TV was very difficult to navigate around. The "hot" breakfast the next morning was not good, no meat, fruit was limited, orange juice was awful, and little to choose from for those that don't eat breads. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Business trip

Posted Jan 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was not adequately clean. Found hairs in the bathroom and there was chicken and a bisquit left in the microwave. The bed was not neat. It appears that they were doing renovations in the room as some of the wallpaper was torn off in the bathroom and sheet rock exposed. The people working there were all very nice and breakfast was good but the room was just not up to par.
