“Extremely spacious and CLEAN!”

I understand this isnt a 5 star hotel, but for what your paying for, it was actually 100% better than i had expected. The hotel room was so nice! Very spacious! Extremely clean!

“It's OKay.”

Not bad, but lack of feeling of security. It is located in downtown LA, feel not very safe there.

“Decent location, unpleasant room”

This hotel was located in a decent area. About ten blocks from Staples Center, next to good food choices. I appreciated the private parking lot because the neighborhood did not seem so safe at night. The room was comfortable, but not as clean as I expected. After two hours in the room, my socks turned black. Maybe forgot to vacuum the room, or clean the carpet? The bathroom had two cracked tiles. Though I wore my slippers at all times, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. Pillows: Very comfortable. The shower was also clean, though the curtain had a couple of stains on it. Television: Your basic cable, nothing special, no HBO. It was a pretty warm night, so the A/C was also a good help. The room also had a small refrigerator, which was clean, and useful. Also, a hair dryer, spacious dresser drawers, table with 2 chairs. Your average hotel room. Overall, it was what was expected of a 2 Star Hotel in a Lower Middle class neighborhood. They had coffee ready for you in the lobby, and brochures of nearby attractions. Maybe it was just this room that was not as clean and tidy, since everything else was as expected. No bed bugs either!! Would I recommend this hotel? Eh, I would. A two star hotel is just a place to stay, rest, and get ready for the next day. I should have asked for a different room, but, oh well. I can live with it. Also, for the good rate, it allowed me to buy a souvenir at the ball game that night.

“cheap & fine”

although the location seemed bad at first moment, I soon realised that it has a central location. the rooms are comfortable. the only problem is that there is no security.

“If you're low on cash.”

Personal experience, have stayed at this hotel 2 years in a row, July 1-4th 2010-11. Pro's are that it's near the L.A. Convention Center/Nokia theater/Staples center. A lot of resteraunts nearby. Con's being the parking, was twice forced to drive around downtown L.A. late at night trying to find a parking spot in an unfamiliar neighborhood where we saw a prostitute having sex on the side of the road, when we finally did find a parking spot and got out of the car, there was a used condom, broken beer bottles and a 2 block walk back to the hotel; the neighborhood surrounding it was just horrible. As much as a nightmare it was for our trip. Seeing as the price is so cheap, it's to be expected. If you have to money to bump up to a different hotel, I'd say do so. If not, you get what you pay for. As for us, it's a different hotel next year.

“Dissapointing”

I had reserved 5 non smoking rooms. When we arrived they gave me two rooms that smell like smoke. One towel and my bed sheet where stained with what it looked like blood. In another room the TV. remote control was missing and the worst part was when I turned the TV on and the porno channel was on. Luckily my child was in the bathroom..

“One night stay in downtown, great!!!!”

We stayed a single night here, and for the price, area, and quality of the hotel, it was great. Coming from the area and name brand of the hotel you don't expect the BEST. So for what its worth, it was great. We stayed one night like i said, and we went to an event at the State historic park 3 miles away, we caught the metro there and back, very close to public transportation. Which is a huge plus.....

“Small changes for simple room.”

So, I stayed at this hotel again (You can read my first review below), and coincidentally was given the same room as the last time. Lucky for me, I was able to see if anything had changed. Same look to the room, same comfortable bed, decent quality tv channel selection. The two cracked tiles in the bathroom were replaced, but the carpet still made my socks black. The shower curtain was replaced, as the old one had stains on it. The front desk had coffee ready in the lobby, and there are plenty of food options within a block radius of the hotel. I still only recommend this hotel since it is only a place to sleep, but maybe not suitable for big groups. I stayed at the hotel again because of the accessibility to the major freeways, and distance to Staples Center ,where I watched two events.

“2 night stay”

Stayed with my boyfriend for 2 night stay with King/Jacuzzi Tub for a concert at the Club Nokia. We personally had a great time, came to the hotel expecting what we paid for, the hotel was under construction so it was a bit noisy, parking after 2am is horrible, especially for a truck (which we own) had to park on the street =/ No alarm clock, but we used our phones, and floors weren't vacuumed, so def bring socks or slippers! Good thing I am from Los Angeles and already know the area. If you are not from the area, I suggest trying to stay in the LA Live area if going to any event near there. My boyfriend is from San Diego and his comment was "LA is closer to Mexico the San Diego!" All in all we had a great time, I always do, this is my hometown. We tried a few places to eat, but I do recommend Uncle John's Cafe for breakfast for Asian Fusion, yummy!

“Ok Hotel, would not recommend”

The hotel was ok for the price and considering the location. It was disappointing that you had to pay for ice. Although the overall rating is a 3, I would not stay at another American Best Value Inn..
