“Overall very easy and comfortable.”

Checking in was a breeze. Breakfast was great. Better than those sleazy hotels right next to the airport.

Lovely, secluded experience - gem of a hotel within a few miles of LAX

“Nice, quiet hotel”

Although the hotel was right next to the freeway, it was nice and quiet. We had an inside room overlooking the court yard. We did not hear any freeway noise. The hot breakfast, every morning was a time and money saver for our family.

“Excellent little LAX secret.”

There are a ton of very mediocre, overpriced hotels surrounding the airport in LA. Get just about five miles out and you'll find some true deals, one of which is this relatively new Ayres hotel. Nice if a little soulless and dark decor, spotless rooms, a sweet pool, super comfortable bed, decent onsite restaurant. No in-room movies, but free HBO. Attentive staff, if not a little unfriendly. The room was very quiet but hotel was at low occupancy, not sure if rooms are soundproofed. Curtains didn't completely close which makes daytime sleeping challenging. Cost-cutting measures clearly in place for bath towels, amenities, and soaps, which were of low quality. Considering the area, this is still a good value and now my preferred lodging for whenever I am in town.

“Loved the details”

As a boutique hotel, the Ayers included beautiful details. It was reminiscent of a fine European hotel, except the rooms were bigger. The carved marble over the vanity, the wallpaper, art in the halls and rooms, Venetian plastered walls, it was well planned. The beds were very comfortable. I had read a review stating the breakfast wasn't anything special, but the restaurant did allow us a full hot breakfast, that another guest must have missed. I don't agree with charging extra for another person to stay in the same room. Definitely recommend this hotel.

“Outstanding Hotel - Wouldn't Stay Anywhere Else!!”

The Ayres/Manhattan Beach is an exceptional hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional. We stayed there on the busiest wedding weekend of the century and were never shortchanged on service. The full complimentary breakfast was great. The beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to get up! The courtyard is beautiful, the room was very clean and the property is very well maintained. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the LAX area.
