We stayed at the Best Western Plus Dragon 3 nights

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: On the bright side, the bed was very comfortable and the shower's water pressure was wonderful. Quiet'ish and safe neighborhood. Underground parking.
Cons: Remodeling is needed to accommodate anyone taller than 5'1". The air-conditioner need maintenance to remove the loudness, and increase food quantity
The Best Western Plus Dragon Inn was only Okay. It is the worst 3-star I've ever stayed. The air-condition ran too loudly, so I turned it off to sleep and the room had a musty smell. The bathroom was built for the size of a child. The lighting was very dim. Not enough breakfast food was available for the hotel guests, so at 9 am the fruit was gone, eggs gone, and yogurt running and warm. Hotel is conveniently located a couple blocks from 110 why and easy access to downtown LA. The staff was very friendly.

Closest to LA Chinatown

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: The (one) staff we encountered in the evening was attentive, but could use a smile.
Cons: Parking lot for guests sign needs to be more visible.
Location: Chinatown is within walking distance, there is a post office w/n the structure, a market and plenty of shops to explore.
Although the location was conveniently close to our destination, it was difficult to find parking for the hotel. The building is adjacent to other (tall) buildings. There was overnight parking underground, but label is not conveniently visible. Quality of hotel: standard.

Worked for Us

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: It was clean & comfortable and the staff ery accommodating.
Cons: Possibly use real plates and cutlery rather than the disposable stuff.
Location: 15 minute walk to Union Station & El Pueblo. Close to bus stop. Had its own car park.
The hotel was well placed for us as it had a 15 minute walk to Union Station and was close to a Dash bus stop. The continental breakfast was adequate and the staff very accommodating. Good Chinese restaurants close by for eating out as was El Pueblo for sightseeing..

Location: Chinatown and metro very easy to get to.
This hotel was nicely situated in Chinatown and close to the amtrak station . Easy walking around the district and lots of good restaurants close by.

Convenient location

Stayed here for Rose Bowl and was handy to the Metro line. Need to rip out rest if carpet in rooms that have not yet been updated. Very musty smell.

Good Hotel in Chinatown

Posted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: Pleasant atmosphere. Feeling of luxury. Staff very helpful.
Location: A lot of Chinese restaurants in the area (naturally). Proximity to Gold Line light rail a definite advantage.
Stayed here for two nights at end of a 5-week tour of California and Colorado before flying back home to Australia. Quiet with good, helpful staff. Free Continental Breakfast at a cafe in the hotel arcade. Handy to the Gold Line Light Rail Chinatown Station only two blocks away and cheap to travel. Only one stop to Union Station to connect with Amtrak and other rail services including underground and also the FlyAway bus service from LAX International Airport only.
