“VERY nice hotel”
The hotel room and service were very nice. Only 2 challenges: there were no restaurants/shops in walking distance and the wifi was not functioning. However, lots shops and eateries were about mile away and since it was raining, the wifi service may have been temporarily out. Good place to disconnect and get away.
“One of the finest Hotels!!!”
We loved this hotel, it was clean, elegant, and warm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was so comfortable and clean. The grounds are beautiful. The Valet and bellman could not be nicer. We were very impressed. We will be going back.
“Great stay”
Great stay...can't wait to go back!
“wouldn't go back due to location not convenient”
Pool was lovely, room nice due to suite so if extended stay would be great with little kitchenette but you need car or cab for everything, not near Rodeo drive or holly wood, and not near restaurants, 2 mile walk to westwood or Rodeo, 20 dollar cab ride to melrose, 30 dollar cab ride to santa monica--service was friendly, breakfast of omelettes in bar was great -as were the capuccinos, nice little lobby bar- european style-didn't use the spa as it was expensive but if you can afford it, seemed to offer the usual- but pricey-- I travel often, have stayed in 5 stars, been to paris, london, rome, NYC, sanfran etc, this was fun because it's different, daughter was at UCLA for summer program and this just wasn't close enough
“Negative Reviews I Read Were Right”
I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago despite reading some of the negative comments regarding some of the hotel employees. While the room and the property was nice, some of the employee's courtesy were suspect. The parking valet was slightly rude to me when I first arrived and then tried to make up for it by offering me more information about the hotel and its services. And a bartender inside their teeny tiny bar was rude as well. On both occasions it appeared that they acted as if they themselves lived in Beverly Hills and felt that it was ok to behave the way they did. And when I requested a password from the front desk, a young woman who answered my call was not very helpful either. You should also be aware of their wireless policy - it is $15 a wire PER device. That means if you need wireless for both your phone and laptop, that $30 a night. It was nice to see a desktop in the room but couldnt use it because of the outrageous pricing for wireless. Upon my check out, I left a comment card, expecting a response or apology but that did not occur. Despite my unhappiness with some employees, there were some employees that were great, particularly housekeeping and maintenance. Would I come back? Only if I knew that some employees take some sort of customer service course to set them straight.
“It's a decent hotel”
It's great hotel location if you have a car!! Otherwise, Rodeo drive is 35-50mints walking, which is far.
“Better than I expected!”
This hotel was beautiful. The hotel was very clean, great food, pool was awesome, the view was amazing, staff was pleasant, the location was great. I got more than I bargained for. The next time I head to LA, I will def stay at the Beverly Hills Plaza. I enjoyed my stay!
“Stay at the beverly Hills Plaza”
When i arrived they told me they upgraded my room. The room was HUGE, but it was on the first floor, basically it may have been in the street on Wilshire BLVD. The traffic does not stop all night long. I should have requested a different room away from the road, but i was so tired i just went to bed and then could not sleep. Extra for Internet $15 and $28 to park the car
“Affordable luxury!”
This place is a gem! The staff are very friendly, the hotel is very beautiful, and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Pristine pool and secluded hot tub. Very convenient to UCLA. Great deal! I would definitely go back.
“This hotel is an island of tranquility. Book it.”
This hotel is loaded with amenities, has the kindest hotel staff I've ever experienced, and is a virtual gem. For me, this hotel property was an island of tranquility, a virtual oasis from the hubub of the surrounding areas. It has easy access to highways, shopping, great restaurants, small boutique shops and it offers a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. I certainly wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when traveling to LA and plan to come back again and again.
