Over priced for quality of hotelPosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: see above
Location: right in the midde of the boardwalk, great location close to the next beach over and santa monica pier is within walking distance.
Good location but parking is inconvenient, the lot is 8 blocks away from the hotel. There also are no amenities except a nice coffee machine in the lobby. Room was 'updated' and the decor was cute, the bed and linens were comfortable. The bathroom was terrible, the door didn't open all the way, it hit the john when you opened it. The staff was all very helpful though, service was good. Sorry to say for the room rate, this wasn't worth it.

Bathroom upgraded and cleanPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Beds and bathroom
Cons: Get a new carpet and change the furniture! It could not be that expensive and the charge of $200/night was too much for the condition of the room.
Location: Boardwalk, bars, some restaurants, some hip art, classical pianist playing music for tips on his baby grand piano. Beautiful beach.
The carpet was ragged, old, dirty and stained, there was one old wicker chair and a broken down leaning table in the room, and the cabinet where there might have once been a small refrigerator was just empty with some snacks for sale in a small basket. This was an eyesore and disappointing. If it had not been for the clean comfortable beds and the clean and re-modeled bathroom we would have left and demanded our money back. The location on Venice Beach boardwalk was ideal for that experience and the breakfast three doors down was good.

Last resort hotel...Posted Sep 1, 2014
We booked two rooms at the Cadlillac for Labor Day weekend at the last minute due to changes in family plans. The fact that there were rooms available three days before a holiday weekend was an indicator of the quality of this place, and our experience was consistent with that. The only (and biggest) perk of the Cadillac was that it was literally on the beach. Like, walk outside and fall on the sand close. My notes here are for the hotel only and doesn't take into account the scene at Venice (lots of homeless people, stink of pee all around the hotel, biblical fanatics preaching the gospel at 9am, etc). Here's a recap of our stay: Pros: - Clean linens - Newly renovated bathrooms - Fresh paint Cons: - Old, stained carpet - Small, slow elevator - Small rooms - Getting nickel and dimed for everything (parking, internet) - Our room was missing the refrigerator, and when i called down to the front desk, they claimed that all rooms had one. (Really? want to come up and show me?) - When we checked in, they promised to keep both of our rooms together. One room was ready, but the second one still needed cleaning. By the time we came back from dinner, the second room had already been given away and they gave us a different room on a different floor These rooms are cheap by comparison to other hotels right on the beach. Just keep in mind you're getting location with this place and not much else.

Totally used facilities, no air condition, dirty carpets etc. The price is ridiculously high for this rubbish,

Crappy HotelPosted Aug 24, 2014
Cons: Everything. It was run down and gross.
Location: Venice Boardwalk
The room was musty, cramped, and lacked air conditioning. The room window barely opened with the building next to the hotel just a few feet away.

No air conditioner!Posted Jul 25, 2014
No air conditioning, July is hot and you can't keep the windows open because there are no screens on any of them. Pictures look much better than the room really is, the carpet was gross never took off our shoes. Doors are loud and walls thin take ear plugs. Homeless people camp right outside at least 8 had set up beds. However none of them bothered us ever and the hotel is right on the beach. The staff was very nice. I would not stay here again it was very expensive for what it was and I would spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

Right on the beach/boardwalkPosted Jul 19, 2014
Stayed one night, great location, Not one of the best hotels but for one night in Venice beach it was fine , only bad thing was the parking, my car was scratched from someone the following morning , spaces too small and hard to enter & exit,

We didn't stay...we drove ALL the way home insteadPosted Jul 15, 2014
This place was creepy, our family drove all the way home tired from our day at Santa Monica pier. It cut our trip short but we'd rather do that then stay at this place.! We were bummed.
