“Cheap DTLA Hotel”
If you want a cheap hotel just to crash at this is ok!
“Perfect for the Price”
My friend and I needed a place to stay after a night of celebration and after dinner cordials. We entered the gorgeous hotel lobby and walked up to the concierge. She was perky and very helpful considering we were checking into our room at 2:00AM. She gladly gave us her recommendations of the 24hr restaurants in the area and handed us our key. We stayed in a room with it's own bathroom, four strong locks, and a queen sized bed. But the most amazing thing was the view. We sat on the 15th floor in a room facing Downtown Los Angeles. Call me a romantic, but the view and the room and everything about this hotel had me feeling like a bright eyed bushy tailed discovering the city of Los Angeles all over again. Yes, the only air conditioning system in the room was a ceiling fan. The only places to sit were the toilet and the bed. I can't recall a single detail about the decor. But I didn't really care. I needed a place to sleep and this hotel and that hotel room gave me a place to dream. :)
“perfect”
god bless u
“HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Avoid if possible, No parking for hotel guest, mad got arrested for gun charg”
HORRIBLE!!!!
“a good place to sleep”
Cecil's is a safe place to stay while doing buissness in Los Angeles. I will stay here again on my next trip to do buissness in this lovely city.
“Cheap hotel but horrible condition. Tiny room. Not Impressed. No AC, community baths”
I would not like to go back to this hotel since it is located in such a shady area. The hotel is very inexpensive but it is not worth it's price. The rooms have no AC in them. I did not have a bathroom, so had to use a community bathroom stall which didnt have any locks. The room was extremely TINY.
“Ghetto Hotel California”
I can honestly say this has got to be the most horrifying hotel experience I have ever had. The only thing great about the hotel was the front desk personnel. Even they knew we weren't satisfied about the place. First off, I got a room that was supposedly a shared bath, which I didn't know that the shared bath meant the shower and toilet stall outside where all the guests on the same floor go to! Also, there was no A/C unit in the room. I had a difficult time locking and opening the door to the room due to the damaged knobs and bolts. I recommend no one comes to this hotel unless they really desperately need a room to stay for the night... but then again, I'd rather sleep in my car if I had a choice.
“Somewhere to Sleep”
Location was ok. Glad that we upgraded and got our own bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful-had to ask for towels a couple of times but other than that, not bad.
“So/So overall”
The lobby is very deceiving. It's a very nice lobby, looks like an upscale hotel. Upon entering the floor where we stayed, the paint was outdated, although not old. It looks like some of the rooms do not have a private bath or toilet, as there are rooms for these facilites at the end of the hallways. Fortunately, there our room did have a separate private bath and toilet so overall, all was saved. The room was small and outdated but overall, for the price it was a good deal.
“easy to find and reach, easy to remember, easy to use public transportation”
the hotel is clean and easy to remember and easy to find for newcomers. the rate is reasonable. however it is not good for those who do not sleep well because it is a bit noisy in the evening. the lock of the door does not work well
