Good B&B close to Hollywood and Beverly HillsPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: A charming B&B where you can interact with other guests and the owner unlike a regular hotel.
Cons: The only thing would be something to help the noise level coming off the street. This affects only one room,
Location: It is centrally located between downtown and the beach and Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The 3rd Street Farmers Market is a few blocks away.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. They fulfilled any request we had. Rooms are large. They moved us to a different room because a better room was available. The morning breakfast was good with fresh fruit, eggs, cereal and fresh squeezed orange juice.

A fun place to stayPosted May 22, 2014
If you are tired of the chain hotels this is a very nice diversion. The owner and manager were very responsive and helpful in arranging our arrival. The room and connecting bath room were clean and very comfortable with a 30's look. Breakfast was made to order and excellent. All in all, a fun experience at a great price.

Personal servicePosted Mar 30, 2014
Received a phone call to confirm the reservation & parking. On arrival room was large with comfy bed & dozens of channels of the usual dreadful US TV (not the B&B's fault) Excellent cooked and/or continental breakfast. Recommended.

Funky Place in Good LocationPosted Mar 25, 2014
Cons: Painting, carpeting, fixtures needed updating -- it felt like a "fixer upper" that still needed attention.
Location: Great location, near the LA County Museum of Art, Beverly Hills.
If you like a very eclectic environment, and are not that picky about the condition of the bed & breakfast, it's an OK place to stay for a short period. I had the smallest room -- and I do mean small. The queen bed took up almost the entire width of the room. Small bathroom en suite which was fine size-wise, but the room was claustrophic because it was so small. Many of the bathroom fixtures could use an update / refresh. The house was probably built in the 1930's / 1940's, and it needs attention. Peeling plaster, walls that need paint, rugs that are not the cleanest, exposed lighting in the kitchen that's under repair. Lots of 'shabby chic' decor, some of which was quite beautiful and interesting. Cute porch area in the back that's nice for reading if the weather is good. The staff was very friendly which made up for a lot. And the breakfast looked fabulous, but unfortunately I could not partake because I had other plans.

Pleasant stayPosted Mar 19, 2014
Location: Close to so many things, too many to mention. Very close to Farmer's market and The Grove.
The place was very clean. The lovely people were so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend and I plan to return when I am in the area again.

Nice location; funky, homey settingPosted Feb 11, 2014
The B&B is within a very short walking distance to LACMA, the Peterson Car Museum and the Farmer's Market in the mid-town area of Hollywood, on the edge of Little Ethiopia. Although one might characterize Cinema Suites as "shabby chic," the proprietor was extremely helpful, conscientious and welcoming--calling ahead of time to give me details about where to park and how to get there. We had eggs cooked to order every morning, along with fresh fruit, yogurt and decent coffee. For LA, it is very affordable, and the personal touch makes all the difference.

Beautiful old homePosted Jan 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Loved staying in this beautifully furnished old home with lots of art and antiques. Room and bed was very comfortable. Also a yard and outside tables. Great location about a mile to LA County Museum of Art. I was surprised that breakfast included not just fresh fruit and juices and cereals but also eggs cooked to order. Michael, the manager was very helpful. This is a real bargain since it includes free parking.

If you are comfortable with a B&B you will love this place. It is an old house but charming and in a very convenient location. The cons: the room needed updating and the upstairs was very noisy (not music or talking but thumping). I brought earplugs so it was not a problem for me. The pros: the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, and the people were great. I would not hesitate to recommend this to others who enjoy the B&B atmosphere.
