Great distance from universal studios!

Great location if you are going to universal studios,easily accessible from the interstate. Room was clean,beds a little too soft for our liking. Continental breakfast was average. We would recommend to anyone based on location!

Close to Universal Studios

Pros: It was clean and comfortable and close to our destination which was Universal Studios. Parking was free!
Location: Short drive to Universal Studios. Starbucks, pizza and cafe across the street.
Staff was friendly and helpful. We requested and received extra towels. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Universal Studios was a 5 minute drive away.

Not great but not terrible

It is walking distance to Universal Studios, about 1/2 a mile, which is why we chose it but it has no real amenities for the price of the room. I was a bit concerned when they took an impression of my credit card with a machine from the 90's, and the lobby where breakfast was offered was extremely small. It's no where near any other hotels and the only restaurant nearby was a Starbucks. Not great for families with small kids but we spent most of the time there at the theme park so it was OK for sleeping. They could use some modern updates.

We just needed a room for the night of a Hollywood Bowl concert. Clarion Inn was close to the venue, with several restaurants (and a Starbucks) in easy walking distance. Our room was large, clean, and equipped with microwave and small fridge.

Close to Disneyland

Pros: Close to Disney. Price.
Cons: New bed covers. Be more considerate when washing down outside. I think they need to block off areas as they wash down.
Bed covers stained, cigarette burn holes on one of the covers. Otherwise room was clean. When we checked in elevators had a really bad smell. Maintenance people were washing the walkways with a water hose. Water going everywhere. No caution cones.? Son had fun in the pool. Front staff very friendly. Said good morning to room cleaning person as they walked by me and she said nothing. Not even a smile. She must not like her job. Or was just preoccupied getting to where she needed to be.

Pros: Continental breakfast was very good.
Cons: Please read my comments above.
Location: Location on very busy street and on other side of location street was freeway. Very noisy. Sirens going up and down street all night.
Upon checking into our room found no refrigerator as requested when making reservation. Called desk was told sold out nothing he could do. Told him I had made reservation over 2 months ago and need fridge. Said would see what he cold do. Moved us to another room that was what was reserved in first place. Then tv remote did not work. Someone came fixed that. Went out for dinner and when returned key would not open door. Had to go down to desk was given a new key. This did work. When having breakfast there were very few other people and parking lot was never full. I think gentleman who checked us in did not tell the truth when telling me hotel sold out and would not be able to accommodate us with what was booked in first place. Very disappointing experience. I do not think I would stay here again.

Hotel looks to be going through remodel. Our room had parts of walls different color like someone started to paint and then didn't finish. Bed was hard and had little pillows. Parking was free and and so was the breakfast. Overall was ok, a little overpriced.
