Missing article from roomPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: It was comfortable and the price was right. They had a frig and micro in the room which was nice.
Location: Near the subway and busline.
The hotel was fine but when I checked my belongings a piece of jewelry was missing from my case.

Comfort Inn Cocatoo in Hawthorne, CAPosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The amenities in the room; cable - TV service, stove, microwave, large refrigerator.
Cons: I truly can not think of anything. My experience here was very good.
Location: There were some restaurants nearby, many appeared to be fast food restaurants but there were others also nearby. See my remarks above.
Of the hotels I stayed at in the LA, CA and AZ trip, this hotel was the best due in part to its amenities. The room had a large refrigerator and an electric stove in addition to a microwave oven. The cable - TV service had more available channels than the other hotels. The staff was also available and quite helpful when I had questions. The complimentary breakfast was good, as good others and better than some. From the hotel, I was able to walk to the Metro line and take a train to about 2 miles from downtown LA. I walked to downtown LA, however there were taxis available and I believe, a bus service. The train trip from the Hawthorne station to downtown LA required a transfer from the green line to the blue line, but that was a very easy and quick transfer. A McDonalds is essentially across the street from the hotel and LAX is but a few miles, probably less than four. The hotel is in a convenient location. Also, there was a secured garage for my vehicle.

Nice hotel with kitchen stuff, wifi and breakfast. It would be better if they could offer slippers.

Value for moneyPosted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Large, quiet room. Hotel is close to Metro Green line and buses, large supermarket and plenty of eating places within walking distance.
Cons: Linen was very thin, some protein choices for breakfast and not so much sugar laden carbs.
Location: close to LAX, large Ralph's supermarket short walk away and McDonald's across the road. No "touristy" stuff to do locally,
We had a Large, quiet room despite the hotel being fully booked, comfortable bed but there was a strange smell in the vanity basin drain , I think it needs a flush out. There was a microwave oven and large refrigerator but no cutlery , plates etc so these kitchen appliances are useless/superfluous . Breakfast was adequate and contained the usual high carb choices . As stated by others, you do need to phone from LAX for the shuttle bus to come pick you up but we received a prompt service, only had to wait 15 mins! We had a late night flight and asked to store our luggage in the office for the day but was a bit concerned that no paper work was completed to register how many bags etc we had as we have had to do at other hotels we have stayed at. But it was all good. Nothing was missing when we returned. The staff were very casual. This hotel does the job, it's ok for a night and you get what you pay for.

Excellent service and conditionsPosted Mar 20, 2014
I arrived at the airport and was rapidly picked up by the courtesy shuttle. Front desk staff were very knowledgeable and helpfull, arranged a tour for me that was a great us of my one day in LA. Quick check in and very large comfortable room considering the price. Staff accommodated an early departure with breakfast to go and another shuttle. A small selection of fast food style eateries in the area. Great short stopover hotel for LAX. WiFi slightly patchy in my room.

Very comfy, airport transfer problemPosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Beds and bedding were very comfy.
Cons: communication between the office staff and drivers need improving to make it a worry less trip.
Location: We only stay one night but were advised not to walk around that neighborhood at night.
Hotel was great. Nice comfy rooms. When we checked in we booked our ride for back to the airport. We were told to arrive 15 mins early which we did and they said it was on it's way. 20 mins go by and no ride. Ask again when it was coming and were told we missed it. They lied because we were sitting outside and no van showed up. A driver finally came to our rescue and we got there just in time. But couldn't believe how they lied in the office and blamed us for missing it.
