Worse hotel ever.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: All
Location: Near to Hollywood.
Staff is not attentive or hospitable at all. $200. per night, not worth it.

Nice hotel, poor concierge advice, poor internet

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Get a concierge that advice their guests honest deals so guests don't find themselves ripped off.
Location: Walking distance to Pier 39. Taxi to downtown or Chinatown from hotel cost around US$10.
The door key constantly fails to open our door. The concierge introduced us to Big Bus hop on and off agent that charges $130 each in cash for a deal short of a free Bay Aquarium ticket when the Big Bus Office is round the corner offering better deals. Book your Alcatraz tickets in advance for $45 each or you end up paying double the price which is costly for a family. Felt ripped off and the hotel staff doesn't care having a concierge that does not offer honest deals to their guests. If there are three of you, get your own taxi to airport instead of squeezing with other passengers for the same cost.

Unsleepable Room

Posted Jul 1, 2014
I was not able to sleep more than 1.5 hours at a time due to the need to get up and reset the air conditioner or the breaker every 1-1.5 hours when it got too hot to sleep with no cooling after hitting temperature. I once waited an hour and a half to see if the thermostat would kick in...to no avail. I paid more than $200/night for this. That's just not right. I could have bought a low end window air conditioner for that kind of money and just plugged it in. The entire hotel (check in, maintenance, etc) was serviced by one night shift worker, so we were pretty much on our own until the morning. All we needed was one night of reasonable sleep and a shower. Not too much to expect for $200. Sleep didn't happen. There was another couple in our group in a different room and they were satisfied. Location was good (I guess that's what we paid for). Breakfast better than expected.

You get what you pay for

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Beds were very comfortable and the location.
Cons: They need to do some maintenance on the rooms.
Location: Close to Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese theatre, etc.
We had chosen this hotel for its location close to La Brea Street and for that it was good. The beds were also very good and comfortable. However, I guess you do get what you pay for. It was reasonably priced for Los Angeles, but for that you also got a front door that didn't fit, door handles falling off and a hole in the window screen in the bathroom. It did feel clean, but rundown as well.

Stay down the road at the days inn

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. We were flying out at 10:30pm and check out was at 11am and they refused to hold our bags unless we paid for another night at $200USD. Didn't even pay that much when booking the hotel online. When we asked why they were unable to hold our luggage they said they were at no fault as it wasnt listed as an amenity. Staff were also unable to tell you directions on how to get to places. Breakfast was very basic and full of sugary foods. Only three 4 seater tables were available for the whole hotel to sit and eat. We had to sit in the drive way to eat breakfast. Room key didn't work for several customers including us and other small things did not work as well i.e tv. They refused to come to the room and check it out. So we had issues with getting in to our room constantly. Room service dont clean your room at all. Ever. Stay 10m down the road at the day inn cheaper nicer staff and amazing facilities. We have stayed in many hotels all around the world in places like Egypt and Tanzania and the experience at those hotel were far better.

Hollywood one nighter

Great hotel! Looks sketchy from outside. Very clean and nice looking inside. Bed comfy and clean, beautiful shower. Close to a Buffalo Wild Wings and Hollywood walk of fame. Was only in town one night but would stay here again. Free breakfast and coffee in the morning was pretty great too!

Will not stay again

Posted Apr 29, 2014
The hotel was ok but once you go in your room and you look out your window all you see is homeless people sleeping out next to the hotel. So your forced to close your window so they can't see inside the room, unless you have the third floor. The parking is limited so we had to come back early to make sure we got a spot. So if you can avoid this hotel do so.
