Nice hotel, near to airport

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Capable staff, near to airport, top shuttle service, good value for money, proximity to VIP Tours service. Near to good eateries, a good location.
Cons: The quality of the toilet paper needs to be upgraded.
Location: As mentioned above, location overall is very convenient - if we had wanted to use the Metro, hotel shuttle would have taken us there.
After arrival in LAX we contacted Comfort Inn Inglewood about the shuttle - it came quickly and we were taken to the hotel, where we were checked in quickly by Angie, who gave us all the relevant information about the hotel. As we had a late evening flight back home, we asked about staying on for a half day - again Angie was very helpful. Our 3rd floor room was spacious and very clean although the d├ęcor was a little tired. Bathroom vanity was adequate but on the small side. Breakfast was very adequate for our needs. Despite many people staying at the hotel, it was not noisy, nor was there any road noise. It was great to have a free internet facility. Overall everything was fine. We were very comfortable.

Comfortable hotel, close to LAX airport

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Rate, Proximity to LAX airport, Free Parking and Free Breakfast
Location: Close to LAX airport. Beaches within 6 miles from the airport. I405 is easily accessible from the hotel. A couple of restaurants close to the hotel.
We were looking for a hotel close to LAX airport at a reasonable price and this hotel met our expectations. Free parking and breakfast were good bonus add ons. We arrived late at night with a baby and the front desk staff was friendly and got us checked in to a non smoking room very quickly. Room was spacious with two queen beds and clean.

Good Choice

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The complimentary breakfast was super--waffles, all sorts of breads/bagels, boiled/scrambled eggs, sausage, hot/cold cereals, drinks, and fruits, too.
Location: This hotel was in close proximity to LAX and to the university where we needed to be at. Right next to this hotel was El Polo Loco and 7-11 Store.
The personnel at the front desk were courteous and checked us in quickly.

Could do better, but ok!

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Close proximity to airport and many food outlets, stores and services for a traveler. Affiliation with tour company and hotel pickup. Breakfast!!!
Cons: INTERNET, TV usage info, staff that can accommodate special request.
Location: Excellent for first time visitors. Close to freeways, eateries, services and shopping.
Ordered flowers to be placed in room upon arrival for a surprise for my wife. Flowers were delivered in ample time by florist but left at front desk due to (as told to me) not knowing which room I would receive. Nearly three weeks in advance reservation and you don't know what room we will be put in, inexcusable!!!!! Then while selecting room, clerk turns to wife and announces,"Oh, these are your flowers", totally ruining any surprise I had planned and hoped for any further infuriating my first contact with the staff. Flowers could have been delivered after being placed in room and non would be the wiser and at least my surprise would have been intact. As compensation, we were upgraded to a suite which was the least they could do for this snafu. You never get a second chance to make a first impression!!! The remainder of the stay was OK except for the TERRIBLE internet service and a TV misinformation problem. Internet was essentially useless with it lack of or SLOW service. 2014, this needs serious attention. Just because it's free don't mean it has to be of such poor quality. TV channels have several sources that weren't explained until having maintenance come to room. A explanation in room would have prevented that frustration. Breakfast was EXCELLENT compared to previous stays at different hotels. Parking was adequate and not too much of a hassle what so ever. Would stay here again if I could be assured internet would work properly.

Just OK - if you need a short stay room.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Located pretty close to the airport but I would only stay here if you have a pretty short stay in mind. The place isn't horrible but it isn't great. If any of the other places I looked at offered the free breakfast I probably would have stayed elsewhere - if the prices were within $20/night

The hotel was quiet and comfortable

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The people at the front desk were especially helpful and the beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The room could use a few minor repairs around the bathroom and sink.
Location: The Mexican restaurant across the street was a real find. The food was excellent.
We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable and there was very little noise. My wife really enjoyed the bran muffins and fruit provided for breakfast. The bus driver for the airport shuttle was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant across the street from the hotel had excellent Mexican food. We would be happy to use this hotel again.

Served it's purpose

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Close to the airport and rental car return
Cons: Hotel appeared dirty. On the wall of our room you could see were a picture had been removed from the difference in the color of the wall.
Location: Close to the airport and rental car return
We wanted a hotel close to the airport on the morning of our departure. This hotel is also close to the rental car return area. The lobby was nice and the staff was very nice and professional. We had an early flight so could not stay for breakfast. This is a non smoking hotel, however the hallway smelled of smoke. It was only later I realized that the garbage container with an ashtray on top was outside directly in front of the open door of the hallway. The hotel was kind of dingy/dirty. Our room was clean but the neighbors could be heard. And someone was trying to open our room door in the middle of the night. The laundry facility had one washer and one dryer, however very reasonably priced.

Great place to crash for the night

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: I liked that it was close to the airport and had a free shuttle and breakfast.
Cons: The tv remote was broken and so was the drinking fountain in the lobby.
I was looking for a hotel with a nice place to sleep and a quick and easy breakfast in the morning and that is what I got. I didn't have any backpain from the bed, but I did get a headache from the pillow. Bring your own conditioner. Free wifi worked great. Breakfast was good. I had coffee, a waffle, eggs, and sausage. The staff was very helpful at making sure I didn't miss my free shuttle ride back to the airport. The driver took me straight to Alamo as requested. My stay wasn't fancy but it was low stress.

Had to call 6 times for the shuttle....

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Took 50 minutes to pick me up which was annoying as I came in from an international flight and was exhausted. Shabby place for the price.
