“very good overnight stay if transiting LAX”

NOte 2 LAX MArriotts on Century Blvd.Free airport shuttle delivered me to wrong one. not having my reservation they contacted the other Marriot and verified my reservation there.Then they ordered a taxi which they paid for to bring me as fast as possible to my hotel.I felt that this was a little extra done very pleasantly. “Not your typical "Airport Hotel"”

Located only yards from the entrance to LAX, the Courtyard Marriott LAX was a very quiet and relaxing location. In the middle of a very busy area, the hotel itself was an island of calm. The staff was always very friendly and very helpful, going above and beyond in almost every respect. The closest thing to a complaint that I can relay is as regards the restaurant. I was kept waiting a long time before being told to "grab any table", and then observed that everyone arriving after me was escorted to their tables. I noticed that several patrons seemed to be waiting a long time for service, so when my server finally appeared I made a point of asking if the kitchen was backed up. The server told me that they were not, and shortly after that things seemed to flow a bit more smoothly. The food was good and the staff in the restaurant very nice, though possibly overextended (too few people scheduled). Overall, my two nights at the Courtyard Marriott LAX were extremely satisfactory.

“Good deal for your money”

Over all it was wonderful hotel. Clean, free coffee, good house keeping, and wonderful stuff. The only problem I had was a valet parking fee. When I called the hotel to check on price I was told it would be $12/day. When I got to the hotel and double checked, manager said different price. But they honored the price I was told on the phone anyway. When I get my bank statement there were extra charge and I have to call the hotel. Well, it wasn't a big deal but it was a hustle I could live without. Hotel was wonderful enough to let it slide.

“Helpful friendly staff”

I would definitely recommend this hotel for people with limited time in LA who want to stay near the airport. The hotel was very clean and well appointed and value for the money paid. We were particularly impressed with the helpfulness and friendly demeanor of the staff. Being near the airport, it is definitely for the short time visitor. But if thats you, you can't go too far wrong with this hotel.
