Dance School Trip

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The front staff always greeted us when we were coming & going. We were only 15 minutes away from Cal. State University where the Dance Camp was.
Cons: Maybe get one more set of washer/dryer as the one set were kept very busy.
Location: Trader Joes across the street and next to Trader Joes is a fabulous Mexican food eat in or take away. Delicous! Great Westfield Mall in Canoga Park.
Our stay was 2 weeks and the hotel staff made us feel so at home and welcomed. Thank you to Justin, Carl, Kiren at the front desk and Daniel at the Bistro Cafe.

Beautiful hotel, close to LA attractions.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Cons: Paying $10 per night for parking is a little steep on top of hotel bill taxes.
Location: All the good LA attractions are in reasonable distance. It is nice that there is a Trader Joe's and Whole food close by.
This hotel is beautiful. The room was very nice and we got a room facing the pool and that was a nice view. We were worried because we were in the room right across from the ice machine, but we didn't hear it during the night..I guess the door muffled the sound. The staff was very friendly and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too and we liked the towels. I was hesitant to go to this hotel at first because it was 15 minutes from Universal studios, but honestly it wasn't a bad drive and the fact that the hotel was right off the freeway made it very convienient.

Good Afternoon, I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us at the Courtyard by Marriott in Woodland Hills. We are very happy that you enjoyed our newly renovated and remodeled hotel, and enjoyed our room with a view of the pool. All of our rooms face east and west in an effort to reduce noise from Ventura Blvd. as well as 101 Freeway. We hope to see you again soon. Nice hotel, great price

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Great hotel: clean, newer, beautiful shower, well kept grounds, good food and nice gym. Cons: need to pay for parking (not sure why as it has it's own private lot) and paper thin walls. Incredible price for this updated hotel.

Good Afternoon, We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay here at the Courtyard by Marriott, Woodland Hills. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the new renovations to our hotel, as well as the newly resurfaced pool, located in our Courtyard. I do understand that parking charges are frustrating, but the cost of parking goes back into keeping our gates secure and our guests’ vehicles safe and secure. Good LA hotel

The room was great. The only flaw is a noisy air-conditioner.

Good Evening, I am sorry to hear that our air conditioner was noisy for you during your stay with us at the Courtyard by Marriott in Woodland Hills. We are a newly renovated property and we did unfortunately inherit some of the old building’s equipment. We are continuously updating the issues left over, and are still a relatively new property. We hope you stay with us again when you are in the area, and we will try to make your next stay more pleasant. Thank you, for choosing Courtyard by Marriott, Shannon Labbe – General Manager

Was almost charged $250 for smoking in the room.

Posted Mar 3, 2014
The receptionist at the front desk accused me of smoking in the room which was false and I was threatened to be charged $250. Definitely was profiled for no reason. Don't go here unless you got a specific look.

Ravi My name is Shannon and I am the General Manager her at the Courtyard by Marriott in Woodland Hills. I wanted to take a minute to apologize for the way you felt you were treated while you were with us. We are a non smoking hotel and do everything we can to ensure our guest have a smoke free experience. Unfortunately people do ignore the non smoking postings and will smoke in the room. We take measures to recover the room at an additional cost so the next guest is not impacted by anothers decision. In no way do we profile but we do follow up on reports of smoke smell or evidence . We also give a courtesy call to inform our guest of this policy and never charge the guest upon the 1st occurance. Again I apoligize if we mistaekenly identified your room as being smoked in. I do hope you give us another chance as I do not believe you would have the same experience. Sincerly, Shannon Labbe General Manager

Not going to stay again! They Lie not kidding!

Pros: Rooms.
Cons: Figure out the parking issue.
Location: park on the street
Ok stayed there 5 times in the last year and i liked the place, they had great staff and good rooms etc. But my last stay they started to charge $10 for parking and its a total hassle if you have guests or co workers stopping by etc. I understand they want to make more money but why create a big hassle for your guests. Just charge $10 more to stay its not like that many people walk to your hotel. So when i checked in the girl at the front desk told me its $10 to park. I said when did that start, she told me in April of 2013, that was a lie i stayed in Nov and Dec of 2013 and they never charged me. I had contact with the front desk staff on two other times, one told me guests visiting do not have to pay and the other time they told me we can just buzz them out for free, so what is it? $10 for a guest to stay 10 min or is it free? They don't seem to know or one is lying to me. I last thing i wan to deal with is being parking issues from people i am trying to do business with. 2 out of the 4 people who visited either yelled for me at the gate to get them out or called me for help with getting them out of the parking lot. If you do stay just park on the street and walk, less headaches i guess. From good to i will never stay there again!!!

Ron My name is Shannon and I am the General Manager here at teh Courtyard Woodland Hills. I want to thank you for choosing us while in teh area over the last year. I am very sorry your last stay did not live up to the expectayions we had set in your previous stays. I want to assure you in no way did any of the staff memebers intend to "lie" to you. We did start charging for parking in April of 2013. Unfortunately this had is't hits adn misses as we worked throuhg the installation of our parking gates which may have delayed the parking charge . Parking is at a premium in the area and we are followin suit with other Marriotts in the area but a t a discounted fee with parking. To clarify, overnight parking is a discounted $10.00 fee. If you do have a visitor we gladly waive any fee and they area able to be buzzed out of the gate with no charge by our Guest Service staff. I do apologize for all the confusion and do hope you stay with us again. Sincerely, Shannon Labbe General Manager
