“Perfect location within LA”

Location was perfect, easy to access various attractions, good food in neighborhood.

good quality, good price, nothing fancy but has all the amenities: wireless internet, business center w/ PC's and internet access and printer, workout room, pool.

Close to the beaches and other interesting places such as UCLA and Getty Center. Convinient to the freeways. Shopping centers within walking distance. Very quiet and clean.

I would return to this hotel in the future. It is very clean and very convenient to shopping and a grocery store.

“Five-star service, great location, great price”

I can't say enough positive things about the staff at this hotel--they're simply the nicest, most thoughtful folks I've ever encountered in all my years of business travel. We shipped several boxes to the hotel ahead of time for a trade show; not only did they happily store the boxes for us, they refused to let us lift a finger when loading them into our car. When I asked to borrow a corkscrew from the bartender, she told me not to bother bringing it back down and offered extra wine glasses. The front desk happily printed my boarding pass for me. The housekeeping staff is superb. The guest rooms are updated, very clean, comfortable, and plenty spacious, with most having small balconies. The marina area is a great location and for the price, you really cannot beat this property. I'll stay at the MDR Courtyard next time I visit LA, without a doubt.

“Great location and comfort”

Marina del Rey is a great place to stay and this hotel is located well for a trip to LA...not too close to the bustling center, but easy to get to many attractions from here. The breakfast was wonderful every morning and the staff very courteous and helpful. We didnt use the pool, but it looked quite nice. There is only one negative and really this should be settled between Expedia and the Courtyard hotel management: we were three adults to a room and we had put three adults on our Expedia reservation. The room as booked for tgree days promised free breakfast. When we checked in, the receptionist gave us a breakfast card which stated it was for two adults, but clearly we were tree. She said that we would be fine since the hotel knew we were three to a room. On the second morning, the morning supervisor visits us in the breakfast room and tells us that their breakfast card is only for two and that we will have to pay for the third person. We spent over 40 minutes while he clinked some keys on his computer and finally, he said he would take it up with the day manager and we would have to return and talk to him. Later that day, more time out of our vacation, the day manager said he would comp the breakfast this once while we tried to make our case that Expedia had clearly indicated that three breakfasts were free. So, I hope that this situation is resolved as soon as possible so no more vacationers have to spend their time on this issue.

The bedroom was very large and comfortable, quiet at night and with fresh linens every day. Very nice after a hectic day in Santa Monica or Marina del Rey.

That's the nice thing about Marriott. There are no surprises. The rooms are exactly what you expect, the facilities are good, and the employees have always been pleasant, helpful, and professional. I can always count on Marriott coming through for me.
