not the most modern or cleanestPosted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Location location location 10 minutes from the beach
Cons: cleanliness, friendliness, hospitality...
Ice machine outside our room clanking all night, probably not vacuumed recently and certainly not in the corners...just not very clean.

Easy to find, close to everything, all you needPosted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: great value
Cons: fine with it all.
Location: walking distance to restaurants, 4 miles to airport, 2 miles to beach.
Underground parking, clean spacious room, fridge, coffee at all times, great breakfast, easy to get to anything from the hotel, courteous staff, awesome value, warm pool, hot tub, would stay again and again.

No One homePosted Oct 15, 2014
Cons: Remove this hotel from EXPEDIA's offerings.
We arrived around midnight. No one was at the front desk to check us in and the lobby was locked. We called from outside the door and there was no response. We had just been on a flight for the past 6 hours from the east coast. After 15 minutes we left for another hotel. We continued to call for the next 2 hours, still no answer. Finally reached someone at 9:50AM and they couldn't explain why no one was at the front desk.ew

NoisyPosted Oct 4, 2014
Location: There's nothing nearby.
If the machinery room right outside the room doesn't keep you awake, then the guests who come in at all hours & decide to have a 20 minute conference in loud voices outside the room will.

Much older hotel than was expecting.Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Coffee. Free shuttle. Keep in mind shuttle hours are 6 am til 9 pm only
Cons: Communication issues, posting of construction timelines
Location: Only got chance to eat next door at a fast food place, ok food, not great.
Construction all night long across street. Lumpy pillows, ended up being satisfactory because they became dense and i prefer firm pillows. Light fixture was yellow and cracked over sink area. I requested 7 am shuttle and received a call at 5:55 am saying my shuttle was outside, my heart raced and i thought i was going to have a heart attack. I mentioned 3 times that shuttle was for 7 am. All in all i got to lax in a timely fashion. Hotels own shuttle so was direct and the staff was helpful and kind otherwise. Was surprised by breakfast coffee quality, was not strong but tasty. Value was there overall but nothing delux about the king size delux room.

Repeatedly asked for a coffee packet in my room and never got one, finally took one myself off a housekeeping cart. I had requested a roll away, repeatedly, which wasn't delivered until late the second day and was all hard springs and impossible to sleep on. Very poor service. I wanted to soak in the hot tub but it was yellow with sediment of some kind on the bottom. Would not recommend.

Great hotel, great bargainPosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: size and amenities in room. location. price
Location: very close to the beach and restaurants. close enough to the freeway to get around L.A.
This hotel was better than I we expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was huge and very nice with everything we could have needed. A decent breakfast in the morning. A great location. All this at a bargain price.

It was ok.Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Close to amenities.
Cons: The Wifi for Christ sake!
Location: Downtown Manhattan Beach isn't too far off. A long walk yes. But if you aren't the constant walking type then you may want to rent a car.
Wifi was non existence. No matter how many secured lines they had, the password they gave me wouldn't let me connect to any of them! Yet they claimed they gave me the right password.
