Unacceptable Security Risk

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: OK - but noting special
Cons: Pre pay should not be required at time of reservation.
Location: Good location for Los Angles harbor.
Unrestricted public access to the hotel's underground parking garage creates an unacceptable security risk. Will not return.

Stayed for a wedding

Posted Jun 16, 2014
I stayed here because the wedding party was staying there. The hotel staff was very nice, they did seem a bit under staffed. At check in their keys were down and we had to wait for security to take us to the room and open the door. Another person in our party had to wait 30mins for valet to retrieve their car. There breakfast buffet was good, everything looked fresh and they even had an omelet bar. Overall it was a good stay.

The bathroom wasn't too clean but was ok

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: They had a room available at the last minute.
Cons: Do more then just a surface clean.
Location: Didn't do anything ... just stayed there for a place to sleep because I was working.
It was decent but nothing to get wowed about. Stains on the carpet and the bathroom tile had not really been cleaned or caulked in years. There was also a hair stuck to the shower that was kind gross. But no bed bugs and sheet were new. It was decent enough that I'd say it's ok to book a room. But, I certainly wasn't wowed by any means. I booked last minute so I payed more then I got for the room.

We enjoyed the view from our window.

Pros: close to our family.
Cons: House Keeping management of time could have been improved.
Location: close to the ocean. we were not on vacation, family business.
The check in was a terrible experience. We were early, and were asked to come back at the check in time of 3:00. That was understandable. But when we came back at 3:30, the room still was not ready and we were asked to come back again at 4:00. I said no, and began calling other Hotels in the area. The young woman at the counter was on the phone to housekeeping. Back and forth they went with several calls between them, and with us on our cell phone trying to find a Hotel. Finally, we were told our room was ready. The young women was kind and clearly trying to make us happy. That was the only thing that was upsetting. Room Service was great. Had enough towels and extras. We left Happy.

Hello?

Posted May 10, 2014
I called the hotel the night before to ask how much a taxi from LAX would be. The fare I paid was almost twice that. When I mentioned it while checking in, I was told the fare I paid was accurate and that I had been given the wrong information by the hotel. Also while I checking in, I asked for a wake-up call, which I never received. When I woke up -- late -- I discovered there were only packets of decaf coffee in my room.

Nice location

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: Hotel, even though parts do seem older, has been well maintained.
Cons: I think that the bathrooms could be updated.
Location: Great walking area and really nice character restaurants close by.
Hotel is in a great location close to the cruise port. Provides for nice walks in the San Pedro area with great dining nearby. Area has lots of character.

Great location for the Cruise Ship vacationer.

Posted Apr 30, 2014
Pros: Location, I work in the Maritime Field and the CP is very near the Harbor. There is ample, free garage space in the basement. A big plus!
Cons: The restaurant and lounge are not utilized by guests much so they quality of the food is not the best.
Location: The Maritime Museum, Battleship IOWA exhibits and rustic "Ports of Call" shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
I stay here whenever the hotels in Long Beach are full or too outrageously priced. The Crowne Plaza is utilized by a few Asian Airline Crews and as such is kept very clean and quiet.

A little too little a little too late

Posted Apr 29, 2014
The A/C did not work the first night. We had to have the door open so that the hallway would cool the room. They fixed it the second day with no explanation or even a "sorry". Upon checkout I requested a receipt; the desk clerk refused saying "get it from Expedia".

Great deal in LAX area

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Price, Cleanliness of the Facility, Comfortable Room.
Cons: None
The Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very courteous and professional. It is not easy to find a great place to stay near Airport. I'd stay here again when I come back to this area.
