Actually better than expected.Posted Oct 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
I enjoyed the room that was easy to find from the freeway. Had limited time to stay but I thought this hotel was roomier than most. Would return if I needed to be near here. Staff was helpful in finding a local eatery.

Great Hotel StayPosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
At first I was thrown off by the location of the hotel, since it was on a main street in a rough area right off of the freeway, but once I met the staff and got into my room I quickly forgot about my reserves and was able to relax. We ordered room service for dinner and breakfast and the food was great! The room was very clean and actually a lot more impressive than I had anticipated. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely feel comfortable staying again.

Clean, Convenient, Good ValuePosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Good value, especially as convenient as it is to LAX (without being TOO close!) and non-city-based freeways. Easy to get in and out and around L.A.
Cons: Bathroom. I found curious that the shower was nice: marble-type wall, but the towel holders were broken and the towels themselves were old and rough.
Generally positive: Location, cleanliness, roominess. Generally negative: Parking spaces too close together. WiFi was sketchy and unreliable.

A great place to crash near the airportPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The service was great. The room was clean and spacious. The location is minutes from the airport. We stayed there for one night before our flight out of LAX in the morning. We had a great experience there. This hotel is great for a quick stay to make a quick trip to the airport.

Nice rooms, average everything elsePosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
I booked this hotel for its proximity to the airport, its overall high review from users, and its price. I did not pay much attention to the details. Overall I was satisfied with what I got, but I think I can provide a little insight for others. The rooms (at least the one we got) seemed newly renovated. Beds are large and comfortable, although fitted sheets are not used, a pet peeve of mine. The bathroom is pretty large, although the sink area is part of the bedroom. The TV looked nice, but I didn't use it. The wifi is free, but pretty slow. The air conditioning isn't very strong or accurate. Kind of all or nothing. The pool was being cleaned or fixed when we were there, but it looked kind of small. The front desk/lobby area is incredibly small and basically offers only a window with which to interact with the employee. There is a coffee machine that offers surprisingly decent coffee. The rooms are accessed via the outside, but I didn't feel too worried about that as they seemed to be fairly robust and modern doors. The parking lot is free, but tiny, and particularly small spaces, so parking anything larger than a compact car is going to be a challenge. The main issue is that turning into the parking lot from the exit off 101 is very hard, a U-turn is often required. All in all not a bad hotel for the area and other options presented. Kind of a sketchy area, but that's Inglewood.

Nice hotel, questionable neighborhoodPosted Aug 19, 2013
The room and staff at the Crystal Inn were great. Staff was polite, friendly, & accommodating, and let us check in early. The room was clean, equipped with a fridge & microwave & TV, a comfy tempurapedic bed, and fan but no A/C. There was construction in the pool & fitness center area during our stay, so we weren't able to use either, which was a little disappointing. I didn't know the LA area well before this trip, and the neighborhood seemed run-down and potentially dangerous, although very convenient- close to the airport and right off the highway.

Convenient to airport butPosted Jul 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
kind of far from the metro. Had to walk 15 minutes to get to the Hawthorne stop. Nothing wrong with the neighborhood as I am Mexican and this is similar to the type of hood I teach in...Plenty of Mexican food around here, but if desire other kinds of cuisine..have to leave Prairie Street. Place was comfortable, spacious, and clean, only sometimes the other tenants talked loud..Did have coffee and tea in the office
