Old grainy TV with poor choice of channels. Fox news but no MSNBC to neutralize propaganda.

Easy Traveling

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Free parking and plentiful. easy access to free and close to most locations I needed to be
Cons: AC needs to be more quiet. mainly it was the randomly banging noisy from the AC that was loud.
Location: A block from the freeway. It's nearby Universal, zoo, mall, portos bakery isn't too far if you want to go try. going to downtown isn't too far.
I was driving to LA from SF. My main reason was to attend a concert in LA downtown, but I wanted to go to universal studios on the day I arrived. Just so happens glendale days inn was nearby universal which was perfect since me and my friends started driving since midnight. arrived in time to try portos bakery, then go to universal and finishing with relaxing at the hotel which was nearby. Freeway entrances are just about a block away. It doesn't take long to go to downtown or koreatown. It was easy to check in and out. parking was plenty and not an issue. the decor looked ok, but I wasn't planning to enjoy my holiday in the hotel anyways. The AC was rather noisy, but other than that everything was fine. I definitely have this place on my to stay list if I come by LA again.

Nice Clean Room

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: New wallpaper, replace couches.
Location: We stayed because it was near the rose bowl and we were going to a concert there. We are not from the area.
First off the hotel is old. Don't stay here if your expecting something new and fancy. The hotel when you walk in does have a smell , not unpleasant just different . Most likely because they allow smoking on the first floor and they're trying to mask the smell. The room is older but it was clean . The bathroom, towels, sheets, were all very clean. The bed was comfortable as well. I did like that there was a microwave and refrigerator as well as a coffee machine. The room is outdated but we stayed here for the price not the amenities. I care more about cleanliness than a flat screen. There is also a bar and resteraunt on the primaces. The hotel was quiet, we came during a big concert at the rose bowl so I excited louder guests but there was no noise at night that we could hear. I would come back and stay there again.

Was very okward staying at a hotel/apartments.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
First, let me start with you share the hotel facilities with an apartment complex, which is attached to the same hotel building. The rooms were out dates. Did not lol like the pictures on the web. Good thing about our stay at that hotel, it forced us to go out and enjoy the downtown area.

Bad smell

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Located close to the freeway
Cons: New paint and carpet.
Location: 10 minutes away from the Rose Bowl.
The lobby was nice but as soon as we got off the elevator to go to the room it smelled pretty bad (like smoke and old cigarettes) and it didn't get better once we got in the room. We had to open the slider and turn the a/c on high to make it bearable. The carpets were also dirty so we didn't take our shoes off to walk around. On a positive, the bathrooms were clean.

Nice Hotel -

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The King size room was HUGE!!! I had a couch, table & 2 chairs, bed, TV and desk!!!!
Cons: Maybe update it a bit -
Location: The location was great - It was close to a mall & strip that had many things to eat. Small diner in the hotel that was great for a quick bite to eat.
Nice hotel - Things were a bit outdated but otherwise everything met my requirements.

We didn't stay!

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The clerk inside was nice
Cons: Clean up the outside. It has a very dingy look to it.
Location: Didn't stay.
We arrived at the hotel to see the outside looked rather dingy and run down. As we walked up a person was washing their hair with a water bottle in front of the hotel (a bit disturbing), when we entered the lobby it was much better looking. Our room was not ready (we were early) and the clerk (who was very nice) asked us to return in an hour or two. Not a problem. As we left we noticed the same guy (the hair washer) watching us walk out, and he approached us and asked if we needed a place to say. Creepy, to two females. We walked across the street to our car and decided with the uneasy feeling we had about the overall condition of the hotel and encounter with the person we would go find another hotel. Very disappointing.

Basic but clean

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, easy check in.
Cons: Freshen up (modernize) the rooms and bathrooms. Paint, fabric, furniture etc.
Location: Easy freeway access. Close to Nature activities as well as metropolitan activities.
Hotel is very basic and a bit tired, but Room and Lobby were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Did not hear any room neighbors, that's always nice. Street noise high due do hotel's location. Liked the option to open balcony door and listen to street noise versus listening to air conditioner/heater noise.
