“Next time camp out, it would be cleaner and better maintained”

Heater/AC too loud to use when in the room. It looks like they used the local kids to repair items. Shower curtain was held on by one screw that was pulling out of the wall. Shower head took two hands to adjust finally gave up and left it. The desk had stains and was dirty, didn't use it. Overall I wish the rating had a "0" overall rating they would have qualified.

“Not A Good Place to stay”

Run down hotel. Elevator only goes to the 4th floor! You cannot get off on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you must use stairs. Desk clerk did come and help carry my belongings to the 2nd floor & did the same in the morning. In room smoke detector hanging from ceiling by two wires. Room was clean but mattress very soft and paper thin pillows. Asked about bed bugs & clerk indicated there had been no reports but mentioned if an international traveler had visited couldn't guarentee there were none. I just think you get what you pay for and the only bright spot was the location of the hotel verses my buisness plans.

“Days Inn Torrance-Redondo Beach--Stay Clear of this one!”

I was not at all satisfied with this hotel. From day one I dreaded that we were there for 6 nights, if I had the money I would have left and stayed elsewhere. Stains on the Comforter. Yellow walls in a non smoking room and what appeared to be dark "feet" marks on the wall (like someone laid on the bed with their feet on the wall) Sheets were unfitted and only covered 2/3 of the bed with our feet on the mattress cover. Maid service was good as far as getting us new towels, we didnt have daily housekeeping as basic maintenance was what was needed (painting) cigarette butts all over the stone outside room doors. This place was gross. Employees were nice and I dont blame expedia for this though they could investigate their participating hotels better. I know for the price you have to expect less than perfect but these were basic cleaning items that should have been maintained. will not stay at any days inn again due to this. also with traffic you cannot get to the beach in less than 30 minutes which i thought their ad was misleading.microwave was outdated and inefficient. Gross Gross Gross also it was not convenient to LA. Nice area but if you are doing LA or other beaches stay further north. NOT convenient to LA sightseeing.

“Small, but pleasant”

The hotel is small and old, but for the price, it's a good deal. It would have been better with a heated pool. As mentioned, the staff is a pleasure to be around. I wished there was a fitness center, but the neighborhood was safe enough for a woman to run for exercise without an escort.

Area recommendations

This was a good one. (see above) There were quite a few decent restaurants in the area. We didn't have time to try the hotel's restaurant, but the Indian food smelled good every night.
