Wedding at the property

Posted Aug 13, 2014
We attended a small wedding on the property in the courtyard of the hotel. Everything was quaint.. and the reception followed immediately next door into a nearby conference room. Other events were taking place in other conference rooms and never was there any line at the communal restrooms. The staff were all very helpful and courteous!

Welcoming and considerate, minus the 8:30am knock on the door by the cleaning service.

Does well with little.

This hotel is budget. You know that booking it. But it does a good job with what it has. Clean, comfortable, and safe, with a good free breakfast (eggs, coffee, croissants, yogurt, grapefruit, etc.).

We love the Claremont Doubletree

Posted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Doubletree is "the" place to stay when visiting our Claremont college student. It's the most convenient and nicest; there are others in the area that are cheaper and possibly a better value if your needs are basic. The staff is uniformly cheerful, competent and helpful. The towels are large, soft and absorbent. I like the bow-shaped shower curtain rod and shower-height soap dishes ... and the dual-container recycling/trash containers. And, of course, the hot chocolate cookies at check-in and the front desk (anytime you ask). My only complains this time were the lack of a TV channel guide ("we're making new ones") and the tub stopper being shut instead of open. Pretty minor, though I don't know why they don't provide even a typewritten/Xeroxed channel guide.

charged for the room twice

Posted May 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Well we were charged for the room twice, I showed the desk that we all ready paid , but they charged us again, now we have to wait to get a refund on our CC . The room balcony view was blocked by a over grown tree No view at all.
