Nice enoughPosted Feb 25, 2014
Cons: The shuttle service.
Once we arrived at the hotel it was nice enough. It kind of appears to be in the middle of nowhere but if you walk about 2 blocks there's quite a few restaurants, a grocery store, etc. Arriving to the hotel, however, was more challenging. It has a free shuttle but you have to call once you get to airport to ask it to come and they won't dispatch it until you are at the blue or red or whatever it is pickup zone (meaning you can't use a pay phone from inside). We had to call several times (about 6, totalling 15 minutes of ringing and messages) before we got through to the hotel to dispatch the shuttle, which was really frustrating as we flew in from Canada and each call we made was long distance. Once we got to the hotel everything was clean and nice. The only other downside is that the hotel continental breakfast is almost 20$ per person and it's equivalent to a free continental breakfast that you can find at some hotels.

I hope you took the shuttle inPosted Feb 25, 2014
Cons: Room 315 the shower leaks all night long. Can't be good in water stricken California.
I love most Doubletree by Hiltons. However, this particular hotel has 7 floors full of guests. The parking lot has maybe 25 stalls, in which 20 of them are occupied by hotel employees. There is a parking garage across the street, but I was told to ONLY park on the top 2 floors. The hotel is not in a bad area, however, having to drive up 8 floors in an empty parking garage, taking the elevator and walking across the street can't be safe 100% of the time. The cookies were warm though

I stay there twice a year for workshops.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: It's convenient for me because the workshops are conducted there. I also like that the location is in a more remote area with little outside sounds.
Cons: The beds and the airconditioning.
Location: There are places you can walk to to get food and if you drive a ways, you can get to a mall.
Usually the beds are very bad on my back, but this time it was better. Their airconditioners are either on or off, heat or cooling. They are extremely loud so if you don't like the noise coming on and off all night, don't stay there.

Nice hotel. Easy to findPosted Feb 16, 2014
It was a nice and quant hotel, wish it was more luxurious as other double tree hotels were. Wasn't too impressed with resturant but it worked .

Great for airport transfersPosted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Proximity to LaX
Cons: Shuttle bus service
We only stayed here for a few hours prior to connecting flight. Hotel is 5 minutes from LAX although we did have to wait ages for airport-hotel shuttle. Hotel clean, quiet, comfortable & welcome cookies were a nice touch. Unfortunately, the shuttle back to LAX didn't start until 4am our checkout was 2.45am, but taxis were easy to book & reasonably priced. We noticed a few restaurants nearby, but ate at hotel, nothing special, but inexpensive & ok. All in all, a good place to stay if you're in transit.

A one night stay close to the AirportPosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable and TV excellent. I enjoyed the coffee before my early morning flight.
Cons: The front desk personnel should attempt to be more helpful.
Location: The hotel was close to the airport but surprisingly quiet and in a safe feeling area.
I chose this hotel because of it's location and reviews of other travellers. The room was nicely appointed and as requested. It was comfortable and clean. The neighbourhood felt safe. My stay was very short. It was a positive experience with exception of the front desk personnel. Based on other travellers comments, I asked if I could drop my rental car the evening before my flight and was given a wishy washy response about whether they would pick me up with the shuttle. I also asked for assistance to contact the airlines to confirm my flight had not been changed and they referred me to call expedia. I ended up taking my rental car back in the morning and working it out myself. All in all, I would stay there again for the room and location.

Nice hotel close to officePosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: The room was great! Clean and comfortable. The hotel was beautiful as well.
Cons: Customer service skills with employees
The stay was fine and the room was nice and clean. My complaints had to do with the hotel staff. They were not very friendly. The cleaning lady opened my door and then knocked to see if anyone was in there. Same thing happened to a co-worker so guessing standard practice? The restaurant staff was slow and forgetful. We had to re-ask for items that they didn't bring. Just not the type of service that I would have expected from the Hilton organization.

Nice and easy accessPosted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Easy to find and access from both sides
Cons: Shower leak
Location: Great airplane museum on Imperial Hwy. Fish Market in downtown El Segundo is great place to eat.
Everything is great, except the shower leaked! That was the only problem and as any traveler will tell you a hand towel over the drain will "cure" the problem for one night.

Not Good HotelPosted Feb 3, 2014
1) When I arrived the LAX and waited for pick up by shuttle bus, then it almost took 50 mins. 2) There was a bad smell in the room, so not comfortable to me. 3) Internet speed was quite slow.
