“Good value for Money but little old.”
It is very close to the LAX. The morning breakfast was not that great and there were no Microwave or Refrigerator in the rooms. The motel is little dated and is not upgraded for a long time. Whatever was present in the room worked for us.
“Good for a night if you have an early departure from LAX”
Good for a night if you have an early departure from LAX. The hotel can be noisy because of the main street in front (Century blvd) is very busy. Rooms are basic but clean and cheap. Do not expect much and go out of the neighborhood for a good meal. There is nothing great walking distance from the hotel.
“Good only for sleeping”
The best thing is that it's fairly close to the airport. The staff was helpful as well. I recommend staying here if it's only for one night. Decor is outdated and beddings are clean but seem very well used, there are no amenities such as fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Breakfast is free but not much is provided. There is a shuttle service for a fee but be aware it starts at 6am and is not 24 hrs.
“Won't go back.”
Needs a lot of repair and maintenance work. Linens and towels need to be replaced. No snacks are available and you have to pay for ice.
“Not impressed”
This was a first time experience in this hotel and I was not impressed. My room was not completely clean and the staff was rude. My continental breakfast consisted of donuts and coffee only. Warning! If you wish to use the hotel shuttle to travel back to the airport, you are REQUIRED to give the hotel 6 hours notice that you will be needing the use of the shuttle. Otherwise you are on your own.
“You get what you pay for”
I'm sure this place isn't completely reflective of the Econo Lodge chain, but it definitely is of the location. Inglewood is close to LAX and is in the heart of a dangerous area (to say it nicely). I don't want to scare anyone, but this hotel is not for the faint of heart. The area is bad and it is not recommended you leave the hotel unless you're in a car. This is definitely a place to crash if you can't afford anything nicer or safer. Book at your own risk. The receptionist is behind bullet-proof glass. That is all.
“Worst hotel near LAX”
Never stay at this hotel even if you get the best deal. Spend a few more dollars and stay at a better hotel for a relaxing stay while in the LA area. The hotel rooms are terrible, breakfast not fit for human consumption according to me. Stayed here for 3 nights. Here is how the first night went - toilet in the room was clogged up and sewage overflowed into the room. Contacted the front desk at 10 pm and was told a plumber will be sent to repair. This mystery plumber never turned up even after 1 hour. Frustrated and angry I called the front desk again and after about 1/2 hour was given another room. This room on the 3rd floor of the property right across the elevator appeared to be a backup room for customers I guess as it had bugs everywhere and has a window facing West Century Blvd. Couldn't sleep well at nights as there were dogs barking in the nearby neighborhood and also the heavy traffic. The elevator does not work to the second floor. This property is owned by an Indian and I think is in the business just to make money and doesn't care about customer service and quality. Also, this area of Inglewood is run down with high crime rate which I realized after my stay.
“Rude Staff”
This hotel was in a very scary area of LA, very very very rude staff, especially the lady...no one told me that your key cards had to be reevaluated almost every day...and I came in at 10 pm one night, had to bang and bang on the window for the lady to validate my room key...she was asleep, was very angry because I woke her up and threw my key card at me..they would not help with transportation, no wake up calls, no nothing. I asked them for a wake up call..did I get it? No...their breakfast was gross, it was dirty, couldn't trust the cleaning staff in my room, it was terrible!
“Dirty, stale donuts, stay away..”
What a worthless hotel.. In a ghetto neighborhood, woke up for their 'breakfast' which consisted of "day old donuts" and sunny delight. Stay away.
“unexpected”
I wish I could post some pictures of the hotel... it's horrible... Firstly, it was surprising that before I went to check in, I called Expedia to get the address and phone number of the hotel, I was told that it might be impossible that the hotel could come to the airport to pick me up, but I was charged and I could not make any changes, so I was suggested to just go figure out something by myself; next minute I called the hotel, I was told that "it's full!"... I was shocked! so I asked "what do you mean? I was charged, and now you tell me there's no room?!!! so you think I should go to other place?"... Then the lady said "ok, I'll get a room for you. come! just come!" so, I waited for more than 30 minutes in the airport for their shuttle, and got there by midnight. I was handed a card, with a word "that's the only room I have!" So I went to the room... I couldn't believe my eyes... there're some tapes and a note on the door "please lock the door from inside". Yes, the door is broken... inside the miserable room... some unclean towels hanging beside the sink... in the bathroom, 2 or 3 mysterious towels on the toilet... no shampoo, no whatever... Oh, the fridge sounds like an giant engine in the night... I had no energy to fight for anything after a long day of travels and in the midnight.. so I just checked out as early as I could in the morning... I feel very happy when I escaped.
