“Cozy Little Chic Hotel”
The place is great, everyone makes you feel welcome and everyone remembers your name, you are not any other guest, you are a person to which they will try to make a comfortable stay. The location is superb, near Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Hollywood. There are great restaurants near by and shopping centers like Beverly Center. Definitely a a good place to stay in LA.

Definitely worth the price you pay for.
“LOVED this hotel. Great staff, breakfasts were wonderful, lobby was nice and cozy...”
Reception: the gentleman who checked us in-- must be one of the friendliest hoteliers I've ever met. He was welcoming, had a nice demeanor, great personality, accomodating and very very nice and knowledgeable and helpful, AS were all the other staff, They were very accomodating and a pleasure to deal with. so an A++++++ to the staff. The service: excellent, very impressive. breakfasts were great and they have a great happy hour--very generous with wine and the nice cheeses they served. Overlal a great experience that made our stay in LA a true pleasure. Thanks to everyone at ELAN hotel.
“Low key and friendly”
The staff are super friendly and helpful and made the stay excellent. smallish rooms, but breakfast and a wine and cheese hour each night is included and was nice. Good location to explore LA and surprisingly for LA there are a few good eating and shopping places within walking distance, although I recommend having a car in this city. The only thing missing from the hotel is a pool, as I felt like not doing too much some days. Highly recommended low-key andd simple hotel.
“Very nice!”
Service was great. Clean room. Nice morning breakfast. Didn't like the bed, very hard. Was like sleeping on a board. The pillow was not comfortable either. But I would still stay there due to the good value. Safe neighborhood and very clean and updated. That is worth a lot. The service was very good, everyone was very helpful. Even the valet was very nice. Would recommend to others! Also accomodated an early check in due to us having a wedding to attend. Let us into our room with no problem. Have stayed at much more expensive hotels and received not as good service and not as clean rooms as we did at Elan.
“Nice small hotel”
This hotel is in a good location, next to Beverly Hills and great shopping. Since it is small, after a few days, every one on the staff knew us. They have a good continental breakfast in the morning, and a great wine/cheese event every afternoon. This place is great, expecially for the price. Nice and clean.
“Sweet Boutique Hotel in Unique Location”
Love the Elan, which I've stayed in twice so far (I'll be back). Was just there in early April 2011 and found the rooms and hallways had been updated with paint and new decor since my stay last summer (2010). I had a nice king-bed room with small balcony overlooking Hollywood Hills. Stay on the street side and risk traffic noise--I prefer the quieter side at the back. Staff here are courteous and always greeted me by name. One of the best perks of this small hotel in the middle of West Hollywood is the breakfast, a nice assortment of cereals, bagels, sweet rolls, boiled eggs, yogurts and fresh fruit. Plus coffee, juices and teas. All provided with your room rate. The nice lobby has tables and couches overlooking Beverly Blvd., offering a good view of what's happening outside. In the evening, there's wine and cheese, enjoyed by the guests who gather in the lobby to compare tips on restaurants, shows and museums. I love the European style of the hotel. The free wifi in the rooms, plus computers and a printer in the lobby (good for printing out boarding passes). Location is excellent. Just across the street is Jan's Diner, open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and full of neighborhood characters eating matzoh ball soup and excellent omelets. Just up the block is the Beverly Center and a smaller "mall" of discount clothing stores. Sunset Blvd and Melrose are a short drive away. Farmers Market and The Grove are less than 1 mile to the east. I'll stay here again for sure.
“Very nice hotel near Beverly Center”
The hotel is very good. Although it´s a little bit old, the rooms were renovated, with very good space, a large TV and an amazing service. The only problem is that we can hear the shower from the room beside. At the first night, we stayed in a room at the ground floor. We asked to change to one at the upper floor what was not possible only because the hotel was full that night. But in the morning we were able to change to an upper room and the staff was very helpful with all the arrangements to it. Indeed, the staff was amazing with everything, since our arrival until our departure. The breakfast is good, but at the first morning there were more people than table. The other days there were enough space. The hotel is concerned with small things that makes the difference: IPOD radio, big TV, excellent coffee at the room, frigo, slippers and bath robe. Very nice location, one block from CVS Pharmacy and Beverly Center and near Hollywood too.
“Great value”
The hotel had everything I needed. Nothing fancy, nothing less. Very practical. Staff was super attentive. The hotel offered nice wine and cheese in the evening and a better than average breakfast. The neighborhood was nice and had stuff in walking distance.
“Great Visit to Los Angeles”
A charming boutique hotel in West Hollywood. Cafes around and within walking distance of the Farmers' Market and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The only improvement would be the service at breakfast; a number of items had run out and the staff was slow to replenish them.
