Wish wifi was free at least in the lobby. Also would have liked to be able to turn off fan in bathroom. Everything else was great.

Terrific front desk staff but noisy room

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff
Cons: Free wifi
Location: It is Los Angeles--lots of things to do.
The front desk staff were terrific. They were very friendly and accommodating. However, there is a lot of noise because of the configuration of the rooms around a central foyer/plaza and the hotel is on a main street. Also, the hotel charges for wifi which is unusual for a business hotel.

Close to airport, clean rooms and facilities

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Unfortunately we had a bad experience to start with. Upon checking in close to midnight for a fully paid in advance booking we were told that there wasn't a room available for us. No prior notification of this and was offered a refund or to move to embassy suites south. At that late stage we choose the accommodation. There was no offer of transport to next hotel. The room at the hotel first night was extremely noisy and not of a similar room type we paid for. The following day we moved back to Embassy suites North. This hotel was much quieter and much better room. Breakfast was included and the other meals we ate at restaurant were good. Parking was costly approx $30 USD a day and Wifi costs as well which all adds up. The airport shuttle worked well for one of us.

Could improve

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Main issue is parking. If going to charge 24$ for parking, have an attendant and valet service. And after self parking, provide a rear entrance so don't need walk through dirty street to get to the main entrance. Room had broken shower. Otherwise room was spacious and bed was great.

Great to have a suite, but breakfast was baaaad

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: airport shuttle, big room, comfortable bed, fridge in room, nice people working at front desk
Cons: breakfast buffet
I love the idea of Embassy Suites because we have two kids and don't really want to share a room with them, so I book them when I can. I was pleased with the price, the pool, the room, and the service. Our room facing the street was a bit noisy, too, but that's not the hotel's fault. But the breakfast is reprehensible. It's like the folks at Hilton haven't even lived through the last 20 years of food innovations. Okay, I'm a food snob, but I was fine with other hotel buffet breakfasts on this trip. Just not this one. The omelets at ES are good, and they had a salsa bar for them that looked kinda nice, but that's about where it ends. Lipton Tea (get some good black tea!), white and brown bread, cheap bagels (how about some kind of wheat bread that isn't just dyed brown - with seeds perhaps?), instant oatmeal, terrible juice, no peanut butter for the toast, pancakes and scrambled eggs looked terrible, and light yogurt full of aspartame and other chemicals. Nothing wholesome to feed my kids or myself. Go take a look at the buffet breakfasts in Europe and see what they're serving, with rooms of similar prices. What a difference! Get into the 21st century, Hilton and Embassy Suites! Thanks for listening. :)

1 Night Stay

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Location, cost and breakfast facilities
Cons: Didn't stay long enough comment fairly on this
Location: Good access to the airport and hire car locations
Hotel provided exactly what was required from a one night stay over after flying into LAX. Good Breakfast facilities
