“Great location. Welcoming & comfortable. Good value.”

We were driving into LA from out of town, and debating whether to stay in the city or stay on the outskirts given traffic. We liked the look of the town, and so took the exit at Santa Clarita and decided to stay on the outskirts. I booked the hotel on Expedia from the hotel parking lot, and checked in two minutes later. Marriott Residence and Marriott Fairfield are next to each other, but Fairfield less expensive. The hotel had great reviews and so I believe it would be reliable. I am very very pleased with the experience! Location is great, up on top of the hill with a spacious and safe parking lot, near an In-N-Out Burger, Denny's, gas stations, etc. Room was clean, spacious with 2 queen beds, flat screen TV, and very quiet. Reception was very friendly, quick, and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was more than enough, and 24 hour hot coffee pot available was a god-send. I definitely recommend if you need a place to stay within an hour's drive from LA and you are looking for good value for money.

“Hotel was fair!! Nothing to write home about!!”

The hotel was clean and nicely maintained. The bedding was too light and not warm enough.... had to ask for extra blankets, which they brought to the room quickly. Disappointed in the "old" wall heat/air system!! Needs an upgrade. The breakfast ended at 9:30am which was way too early and crowded.

“Great stopping point”

We stopped here as a midway point between the SF Bay Area and Legoland. This was a great place - comfortable hotel, clean, good condition, quiet, very accommodating staff. Breakfast was great, including waffles. We didn't try the pool but it looked nice. The surrounding community of Santa Clarita seemed much nicer than Valencia, just up the freeway, which was a bonus.

“Good for families”

Good price. Plenty of food options in the area. The free breakfast was good. The location was right off the freeway - easy access but no noise. We were just traveling through to Los Angeles/Disneyland but did not want to go as far as Anaheim the first day. We would definitely stay again.

“Very good breakfast”

Friendly staff with cookies and fruit at check-in. Nice pool and spa with views of the hills and freeway. Breakfast was above average with many choices including breakfast sandwiches and mini pizza.

“Good for thru travel”

On our way from Sacramento to San Diego. This was a good half way point to crash for the night. Check-in was easy and they gave us a ground floor room to make unload easier with sleeping kids. Breakfast area was a bit over crowded in the morning, but the staff were good about keeping the food items stocked and clean. It passed the wife's test for hotels where she's comfortable staying with the kids.

“Fairfield Aug 2010”

Stayed one night before visiting 6 flags. Kinda budget, but fine. Room was clean, comfy. The free breakfast was fine for me and the kids. I'd stay again.

“Great Find”
