6 miles to universal studios

Bed was small, tv was set on demo mode causing an ad for clear choice music to pop on it every 5 minutes and the ad took over 1/3 of th e screen.

Very disappointed with the hotel. It is a big room, but beds were too small. The covers had cigarette burns. Didn't feel it was very clean.

You get what you pay for.

The parking lot was small so we had to park on the street. When we went to check in the gentleman behind the glass screen acted like I was just buying a pack of cigarettes from the gas station. He was very rude and not welcoming at all. The room we stayed in was very old and the wallpaper was peeling off. The chairs were ragged and stained. The floor looked like it needed a deep conditioning, so much so I was afraid to walk barefoot. The bed was comfortable and the room came with a microwave and refrigerator. We really really didn't stay in the room too long since we were going to Universal Studios. Despite the flaws in the room and staff, it was sufficient to just lay our heads down for the evening while away from home. If you can afford to spend $20 more per night for a nicer motel, then go do so.

Not a bad motel if you have a limited budget

Posted May 26, 2015
LA hotels are expensive but I found this motel not bad for the $. Location is not far from Hollywood and those areas. I rented a car though. Clean rooms. Updated somehow, they changed some and kept some old stuff as THE UGLY OLD CHAIRS that have NAILS that made few holes in my tshirts :( ...I had to put a towel to cover them. NO COFFEE MACHINES IN THE ROOMS. YOu have to get coffee from their "lobby" but it does not taste good. Night Time shift man is very helpful, great customer service. Daytime shift people are less into it, seems to me a bit jaded from that business but still helpful and respectful.

stay away.

I had to pay upfront in full for two nights, to an office clerk behind more security than a bank teller. Otherwise, I would have left a day early. Scary neighborhood. Room smelled like a house of ill repute, and the door frame looked like it had been kicked in and then repaired. The restaurant next door closes at 4pm. Bathroom light was burned out but was not replaced when I reported it. Noisy neighborhood at night, just lock yourself in the room. Don't stay here.
