Expedia's Title is misleading for the locationPosted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Very friendly staff, clean bed, nice Neutrogena amenities
Cons: The neighborhood, the air conditioning units are extremely noisy
Location: The location is terrible if you don't have a car. There are 2 food options - Mediocre Chinese and okay Pizza delivery.
I booked a room here for 3 nights for a business meeting that I had near the Getty museum. Although by car, it's fairly close to a lot of things, without a car, you are stuck. Also, it's a $75 cab ride from LAX to the hotel. This Hampton Inn online is called "Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles/Sherman Oaks. For taxi drivers, this is very confusing. If you have to stay here, be sure to have the exact address to give to the taxi driver.

Had business in Van Nuys early in the morning. We stayed here to avoid morning traffic. The hotel was a very pleasant place to stay.

Check in was slowPosted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
On arrival there seemed to be no one on duty and no one checked the front desk for over 10 minutes. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts. Traffic was very noisy during the night making it hard to sleep.

Enjoyed our stayPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Customer service.
Stayed one night while visiting Universal Studios. Location convenient just off the freeway.which made for easy access. Person at front desk, I think her name was Zee, was pleasant and the checkin process was very professional and very smooth. Our room was clean and the size was very comfortable compared to some of other double queen rooms we had stayed in previously. As we were unpacking, we were greeted by the sounds of an infant next door who was not having a good day. After asking at the front desk if by chance there was another option, we were immediately given the chance to move to a different room in another part of the hotel. Great customer service! Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights rest. Breakfast was much better than most of the other hotel breakfasts we've had in the past with omlettes, ham and country potatoes as well as the usual continental breakfast choices. While the breakfast area was fairly busy the staff did a good job keeping items restocked and there was plenty of seating. Enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Clean and reasonablePosted Aug 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great value for the price. Room and beds were always clean. The free breakfast is great. Crunchy self-service waffles, and different types of eggs and meat depending on the day kept things fresh. Stayed for 2 weeks and have no complaints.
