“Good value”

Very comfortable. Got a good deal. Would recommend if you're staying near LAX.

“Fun and low prices.”

For the price, one can ignore the soap, the iron chained to the board, the sagging, squeaking flooring of the balcony, and the scary neighborhood. No breakfast, but next door is a decent Chinese restaurant and Denny's down the block is tasty and clean. Easy to miss this hotel --I drove right past it! Rooms are clean enough and wifi works.

“Hawthorne Plaza Inn, Hawthorne CA”

The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. I missed having something simple as a tissue box in the room, but that would have to be my only complaint. I will stay there again given the opportunity.

“John the non-smoker in 123 9/29-10/01 2012”

Very surprising for a close to an airport non chain. The same housekeeper everyday, very thorough. The manager and staff were very attentive and answered all questions, no bugs, no critters, no littler laying around. Tended roses in the beds, shrubs nicely trimmed. An overall feel of 70's motif. Extremely appropriate for a single person or seasoned traveler. Would not impress someone who wants pampering. Liked the fact that the rooms had a bathroom window on the back side. Nice to see both ends of the property. Very safe neighborhoom. No street people or panhandlers. Pizza Hut within a block.

“Great for a short stay.”

A great Hotel for the price, clean and nice staff. 10 minute drive to the Airport or Beach. The area right around the hotel is on the lower end but the Hotel is kept up.

“Nice Place for single or couple for a few days”

Was in an older neighborhood. Nice bed, good shower. Was able to check in at noon. Older building but kept up. Slept well. Starbucks about 5 blocks away. Ralph's Supermarket 2 blocks. Not really a family place but would be OK .

“OK but better deals available closer to LAX”

Room was comfortable and reasonably clean but lacked some amenities in bathroom, such as facial tissue (Kleenex), and this motel did not offer free transportation to or from LAX which cost over $25 each way. Better options at cost of motel plus taxis were available closer to LAX.
