Nursing student needing time to relax

Posted Jul 2, 2015
I am a nursing student, working at a hospital from 3:00 to 11:30pm. Wanting to just rest and relax. I love the hotel except that we needed a two bed and there was only a room with one queen bed. No accommodations made for us. Hard to share a bed when you are expecting a two bed room. Other than that an excellent hotel, location. And too bad that we have to pay 20.00 extra per day for Parking.

Nice, but

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: STAFF!! Room needs some work.
Awakened at 12:30 by screaming and slamming door. Yelling kept up so called front desk. Didn't answer. Called again, put on hold. Called again, said would send security. Police arrived and a total of 2 hours was spend with conversations going on right outside our door. The hotel is not responsible for this but the girl at the front desk was very rude when I talked to her about the problem. I did not want a free night but did ask for compensation of some sort. Offered to take off 1 movie which was insulting. Asked to have parking removed and she made a face and begrudgingly agreed. Said it was done and that was it. Asked for a receipt and she grimaced, handed me one without a work and sent about her work. This person should not be at Hilton, period. The man behind the counter was pleasant, but the night phone staff was not pleasant. I would not return to this particular Hilton again.

Not Hilton Quality

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Room smelled terrible, no mini bar, rooftop bar closed 2 hours earlier than advertised because the staff wanted to go home early, not Hilton quality. Really felt like a holiday inn.

Staff is unaccomodating

Posted Jun 29, 2015
If you desire a hotel where you do not need anything from the front desk, housekeeping and etc, this hotel is the place for you. I tried requesting a mini fridge and no follow up or anything. They did not have ANY extra towels and when I asked for some silverware or some sort of utensils for my food, no one came to deliver any of my requests. Perhaps there was no communication from the front desk to housekeeping and etc but at the end of the day, the guest staying should almost feel like they are at home. I did not feel like this when I stayed at the Hilton Glendale. Sadly to say, I, along with all the other guests that stayed in this hotel, will never choose this hotel again. What a disappointment!

Well the beds are a bit smaller than other hotel chains I've been too. If they could make them a little bigger that would be great.

Our executive king room was excellent. The complimentary breakfast was great. The location was perfect for us since we were visiting our son in Glendale.

Why is this a Hilton?

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: The only helpful person was the concierge. The hotel shuttle to Brand Blvd. and the airport was useful.
Cons: Everything mentioned in my experience.
Location: Location is just off Brand Blvd. within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. There is also a hotel shuttle that will take you.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. The facility is old and rundown, the carpet in our room was threadbare, there were no towel racks in the bathroom and no windows or exhaust fan. The room had no refrigerator so we called the front desk and were told there were no refrigerators in any of the rooms. We asked what the locked cabinet in the room was used for and the woman told us it once had a refrigerator but no more. Later we talked to the concierge and he told us all we had to do was ask for one. Why didn't the woman on the phone tells us this? The restaurant service was slow. I was brought half of my food and my cousin had to wait. There was no one else in the restaurant. The bathrooms off the restaurant had dirty paper towels on the floor and looked like they had not received any attention all day. The parking is $20/day. They give you a card that you must present to the parking attendant each time you enter or leave the hotel. You take to the main desk. It is too long to fit in your purse without folding it but once folded will not work in the machine causing you to have to do the process all over again. One of the room keys stopped working and my cousin could not get back into the room. The room initially had two rolls of toilet paper but after that you were stuck with what was left on the wall. The air conditioner just barely cooled the room and would not go any lower. The main desk did not give us our wake up call and we almost missed our plane
