Great location bad choice

Hotel looks very old, bad mantenience, rooms were not very clean, Air condition never worked properly. Great location if you go to Universal but very disapointing of Hilton hotel. You need to renew the hotel.

Close to all! Enjoy the buffet.

Pros: I enjoyed the attitude of the staff, the pool, the 24/7 service and ability to swim late and eat very early or late. The beds were great.
Cons: Too many porters switching roles with the bags so that instead of tipping one guy, you ended up with two or three expecting a tip.
Location: Universal Studios and City Walk.
We paid $25 for an early check-in which was more than worth it as we were exhausted from the plane trip. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The room was perfectly fine and the bathroom clean. The carpets were an oldish looking brown but considering how many families come through, they were in pretty good condition. We have a view of the pool which in hindsight, made for a quieter stay. The heated pool is open till 12pm and we had a wonderful late night swim and jacuzzi thanks to being on Australian time and was a great way to get the kids tired enough for bed. The staff were fantastic in general. The evening buffet was expensive but worth the experience. The easy free shuttle or easy walk to Universal studios and city walk were our main reason for booking here. The Starbucks in the lobby was also a welcome find. I recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay.

Pros: The room was really nice and clean and the other facilities were very well looked after and presented.
Location: Location was good but it could prove tricky to get back from central LA if you missed the last bus at 6pm. A car is a must if you like exploring.
I really enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect and I would definetly recommend this hotel and I plan to stay there again.

Hilton hotel perfect for our Universal visit

Posted Aug 26, 2014
We chose this hotel as everyone else does for it's proximity to Universal & City Walk. Parking costs are always a bug bare but it seems to be the norm. Staff friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel as we walked up to Citywalk. Would stay here again if going to Universal.

Perfect hotel in the perfect place!

We booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed. It was ideal for visiting Universal Studios, but the rest of LA was easily accessible using the bus and Metro systems. The hotel was clean and staff were all friendly and approachable. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at during a tour of California and head and shoulders above the Hilton Anaheim where we also stayed.
