Staff was wonderful.

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: I really loved the staff and they tried to please us in every way.
Cons: The rooms should be either cold or warm depending on the weather outside. Starbucks in the lobby should have longer hrs.
Location: Don't know what else there was to do. We did attend the Rose Bowl for an event.
The A/C in our room was not working right. After a few attempts it was replaced by another one and that did not work as well either. We were given a fan which help a little bit. Anything that we asked for was given to us. The staff was wonderful. It was not their fault that the A/C was not working correctly.

Disappointing

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable and they had 3 outlets between the beds to charge your phone.
Cons: The service!! Train them to be polite, clear, smile and be helpful. Train them to anticipate.
I have certain expectations with the name Hilton. I expect exceptional service, friendliness, quality, and nicer accommodations. The staff was just not very friendly or helpful. I stayed one night for a concert.. I asked how to take a shuttle bus to the concert and they told me that their shuttle could take me to where the buses were picking up. The front desk directed me to the concierge. The concierge was busy helping someone else. We waited, but then she turned to me and said, "what do you want?" (Not how may I help you!!) Then, she directed me to wait outside in the 100 degree heat for the shuttle. When the shuttle arrived, the driver spoke so unclearly, I couldn't understand, a word. ( He was white, not Hispanic or Asian.) No one at the hotel mentioned that there shuttle stops running at 9:30, so after the concert we had to pay $30 for a cab to drive us just a couple of blocks. You'd think someone would have mentioned, we'd have to take a cab back. I didn't know a number for a local cab service and finally flagged one down that wasn't already occupied. While in the room, I was shocked at how well I could hear the other guests next to us and the noise above us.

Average hotel.

Average hotel, good for a Rose Bowl Event. Biggest Gripe: service. We returned from an event at the Rose Bowl, which many guests were attending, and went to the lobby bar. There were 6 of us at around midnight, and others were in the bar. As we watched the table near us being served, the waitress informed us we had just missed last call. She suggested we go up and check with the bartender to see if we could get something. We did. He refused. NOT the type of customer service you expect in a nice hotel. Everything closes early - by 11 pm. Room was fine and comfortable, and front desk staff and valet were very nice. The hotel had arranged a local car service for people attending the event, but we did not find it very reliable or prompt.

No fridge, $18 a day for pkg, rest was $20 a pers for buffet which hardly had anything! The price should be posted, also that you offer the menu choice too. And held a charge for deposit for days instead of releasing when I checked out.

Pros: location
Staff were welcoming and very helpful. My requests were met with cordial staff within a reasonable time frame...ie faucet, safe issues, car rental, shuttle service etc. Would stay again.

Satisfied Customer

Pros: Location, beds, shower pressure, close to shopping/restaurants. It's also a great place to stay if you're in town for a UCLA game.
Cons: The attitudes of the people working the front desk.
Location: This location is just a few blocks from Colorado Blvd. They have pretty much every kind of food you could imagine and quite a few bars as well.
My husband and I arrived around noon. Check-in wasn't until 3, but we decided to see if they had a room available. The front desk ladies weren't very friendly or helpful, but about 2 hours later we were able to check in. While waiting, we had lunch at the bar, both gentlemen working at the bar were very nice and attentive. The hotel was very clean and decorated nicely. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower pressure was great as well. Definitely will consider staying here again.
