Good compromise

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Hotel is well located to work/visit California Tech Institute (Caltech) and Old Pasadena with restaurants. It is witin walking distance from the Gold Line station. However, if you arrive at LAX then it is more conveniet to book a shuttle (about 25-30 USD$). Internet is free in the lounge, in the room you have to pay (10 USD$ per day). As a tourist I would not go here.

A bit old hardware. Staffs are nice, though. Walkable distance from Pasadena old town.

Old hotel with bad plumbing

Posted Nov 20, 2014
I would never stay there again. The room had a view of an air conditioner, there was no tub, and the plumbing was so loud you could hear it all the way down the hall.

Many fine restaurants in the area.

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: They run a complimentary shuttle within a 2 mile radius to the hotel.
Location: It is a central location near golf courses, the Rose Bowl and highways.
all levels of employees were courteous and helpful.

Nice hotel

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Cons: Quieter air conditioning.
Nice hotel. Good location in Pasadena. Room was a nice size and good layout. Air conditioning was a little noisy. Beds were very good. Parking is extra. Had limited interaction with staff but pleasant and efficient.

Good location...thats about it

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: Everything except hotel staff
Location: Santa anita race track, pasadena shopping
Hotel very run down, no fridge in room, no real restraunt on site, parking kinda tricky especially if there is a conferance. We thought it would of been a lot nicer given the $$$ per night price tag. Very disappointed. Go down the street to the Sheraton if possible.

Lot of unexpected charges

Posted Nov 1, 2014
This information isnt on their webpage, but upon check in you find out there's more charges besides the room rate. You have to pay for parking, $18-21 per day. You have to pay for internet, $10 per day unless you have a Hilton honors account. You have to pay $18 for breakfast that's really only worth about $10, but why not just make it complimentary like most other hotels? Didn't have a positive experience with the bartenders. One was very condescending when he brought me the wrong drink (sorry if he was having a bad day, but that's not what I ordered man). And the Hilton emphasis of saying "my pleasure" all the time sounds insincere after a while.

无奈的选择

PASADENA可以选择的酒店不多,这家HILTON设施陈旧,服务一般,但是却要收取停车费,不推荐!

I expected more

Posted Oct 27, 2014
I recently stayed at the Hilton, I have used Expedia for 3 hotels in total. The Hilton was rather around $200 a night. I assumed it would very nice. Problem started with a dirty hand rail I wear white dress shirts, I was walking down the stairs because I was tired of waiting for the elevators. I grabbed the hand rail and my hand and my sleeve got dirty. No big deal, so far. Then I go to get ice so I look for ice machine, the ice machine is outside am emergency exit door labeled emergency exit and ice machine . I spend a good 3 minutes debating if I should royal the emergency alarm going off or just giving up on the ice. A little old lady walking by said I got stuck there to but there is no alarm. Crazy. I stayed at the Marriott I believe afew block down the street much nicer cleaner.
