"Beautiful views, interesting history"
I stayed four nights on The Queen Mary and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent. The history of the ship and being able to experience that history was a unique and remarkable experience. The only negative thing I could mention are a few of the other guests or tourists I witnessed who were negative or disrespectful to the hotel employees. However, the hotel staff and servers always handled it with grace and patience. Also, at times the ghost chasers were a little annoying.

"Was at one time a 1st Class Hotel, now no so much."
Desk clerk not aware of Federal Law regarding Service Animals. Embarrassing and important to us. Halls not air conditioned and were uncomfortable. Maids spoke no English. Blanket and pillows on bed were too small and bed was poorly made. Towels were thin and soaps were very thin and broke upon one use. Upholstery on chair arms was quite dirty. Inadequate electrical outlets. Refrigerator was noisy and we unplugged it to sleep. Re-plugged it before we checked out. Parking area poorly lighted and quite far to walk to main entrance.

"Great Atmosphere for Hollywood"
Loved the Hollywood atmosphere! Nice people running it and loved the location. Just a suggestion put trash cans in the rooms, just cheap ones would be great. We liked our stay there, stayed in the Lucille Ball room.

"Nicely renovated historic hotel with great views"
My husband and I stayed at the hotel because we were in town for a wedding, and the reception was at the Culver. We had a room on the sixth floor with great views of the mountains and downtown LA in the background, and the historic Culver Studios with the mansion of GWTW fame right outside our window. The hotel is charming, the bar is very busy with great live music and a very nice patio. We enjoyed the constantly-running footage from old Hollywood movies in the bar/restaurant area -- even during breakfast. And the staff did a great job with the wedding reception. Our room was smallish in the boutique/European style, but very nice and very clean. Since our activities were wedding-centered, we didn't really do anything else in the area, but there are several attractive dining places very close.

"Surprise Surprise"
I was very disappointed that the hotel don't have a media room with a computer. It was very difficult to book any tours because we couldn't print any thing. I was very upset at the end of my stay. There were local call charges, they dont let you know that in advance. They have a rule no outside alcohol on the premises. They have extremely high Minibar. I have never seen that rule at any hotel. The location wasn't that great either

"Had a blast. "
Went to visit friends and family in Whittier. Hotel staff informed us of a Salsa Dancing Night at no charge for guests. We had a blast. tow dollar tacos, reasonably priced drinks and a live band, what could be better? Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful in every respect!

"Good location but too pricey for what it is. "
Great location in Santa Monica. The hotel is modern and clean but feels more like you are staying in a serviced apartment style property. The rooms are clean but pretty basic. Not much offered in the way of amenities and my mini bar wasn't restocked after the first day or the bins emptied. The gym is ok but tiny and the pool and surrounding areas are just far too small for the size of the property. The hotel doesn't really do the whole bar and food offer well either. The set up around the pool is temporary and painfully slow. It really is simply unacceptable for the money the property charges, you are far better of not even considering it as an option for a poolside drink or snack. Surprisingly also is that the hotel doesn't offer complimentary coffee in the morning. After a walk I went and asked for a black coffee, which was brewed, and was charged - this is one of the few places I have stayed at that doesn't offer this for no charge. The internet is woeful!
