“Very convenient”

Although the hotel is older, it has been kept up to very livable standards, and has a cute "celebrity" theme. The location can't be beat-- off the beaten path on a quiet little street--but literally just a block away from the entire Hollywood scene (Chinese theater, walk of fame, etc.) Beds were comfortable enough, room was clean, and outside/inside noise was minimal. The subway station is also within walking distance which is a huge plus if you want to get anywhere else in LA. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay for the money that we spent.

“Good hotel”

The hotel is very close of the Walk of Fame, the room is claen, big and confortable. The breakfast is simple, there is no tables, you need to get what you want and eat at the room, or at some tables that are in front of the hotel, we stay at the first floor and don't have any problems. One day the parking lot is full, and we left our car in the middle of the lot, and was necessary to left the keys at the reception, but we don't have any problem at all.

“Great Location in Hollywood”

The Hotel was not 5 star but was clean and Ok for the price. Location great, right behind the Chinese theatre. There is no lift so if you have bags you have to carry them up one flight of stairs if on the second level. We went for a walk at night and felt safe walking from hotel to Hollywood Boulevard. If on a budget and not looking for something 5 star then this place was fine.

“Couldn't be more conveniantly located”

Very nice hotel, beautiful reception and nice outside area to eat breakfast. Our room was clean and spacious with small kitchenette (table, 2 chairs and microwave). Quiet location even though it was situated just behind Hollywood Blv with all attractions 2 minutes walk away (Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre, Ripley's believe it or not, Madame Tussaud, shops, restaurants etc. etc.) Very close to Universal studios, took metro just one station (metro just 4 minutes walk). Staff was very helpful and we got some very good advice. Free parking and we used our car to explore Beverly Hills, Hollywood sign, Santa Monica with Venice Beach etc. No problem to get a parking lot when we used our car although it could be crowded. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to live close to Hollywood Blv and other attractions AND have a quiet hotel room.

“a lot of noise but very good location”

the hotel location of course is very suitable for LA visitors just behind the kodak theater you dont need your car to have a walk in Hollywood bulvd but in our surprise there was a locked door between our and next room and every time they were speaking a lot of noise was in our room. the neighbors were also very noisy and we had a real concert in our room every night until 3am! except this every other things were acceptable and hotel staff were kind and helpful.

“Value for money experience”

Great location and with art deco character. Rooms with minor changes could be vastly improved and retain the character of the hotel - some pictures or mirrors on walls. Breakfast very basic. Free parking a real bonus. Overall a value for money experience.

“Best location and nice hotel!”

The location of this hotel is the best you can find if you want to go and visit places in Los Angeles. Is right behind the famous Bv. Walk of Fame, and many other touristic attractions, like Kodak Theatre, Chineze Theatre, Hollywood Wax Museum, and just one mtro station away from Universal Studious. Personal of the hotel is very helpfull, they had maps and directions for everything, even if you drive or if you take the bus and metro. The hotel is clean, rooms are very big, and they have breackfast included, not too many selections but exactly what you need for the morning. I will go to this hotel again for sure!

“Don't let the cover fool you”

This was a last-minute arrangement for my sons and I, and we couldn't have been more pleased. From the price, to the cleanliness of the hotel, to the kindess of the staff, we had a very positive experience. No restaurant in the hotel, but who cares? There are many places to eat all around it. And....free and secure parking. When you first see the hotel from the street, you may wonder what you got youself into, but one look inside dispelled any doubts for us. A nice retro look that was just right for our family.
