Great hotel-------a real treasure in Burbank.Posted Apr 11, 2014
Location: Close to many tourist destinations. Across the street is the excellent Bea Bea"s, one of the best breakfast places in L A.
We stayed at Amarano Burbank because we were going to the Ellen TV Show and the hotel's location is only a few blocks away. What a lovely hotel with a very chic updated interior design, a true boutique hotel in a convenient area. The hotel has a charming restaurant and a great bar, both serving delicious food-------and a happy hour with half off appetizers. The hotel offers full amenities, including chauffeured car service within a 3 mile radius. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute at this lovely hotel with it's friendly and competent staff.

Overpriced for the service levelsPosted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable beds
Cons: Service levels especially in the restaurant need to be improved
As a frequent traveler to the Burbank Area , I was looking for a comfortable boutique hotel with prompt and efficient service The service was off hand at best and reached its nadir (low point ) at breakfast It was about 7.30 am and I was the only one in the restaurant . This normally would have guaranteed good service but sadly not. There was one very sullen waiter who gave the impression that he would much prefer to be anywhere else. and frequently disappeared for no apparent reason. When my breakfast finally arrived it was unceremoniously dumped on my table. The ham and cheese omelet was very unappetizing with large layers of processed Velveeta cheese and tasteless eggs .The potatoes were cold with no care about the presentation. I requested white toast and received white toast maybe I should have asked for golden brown as the toast was barely toasted and cold. I waited to let the waiter know that the meal was unsatisfactory but he had performed one of his disappearing tricks so I tried to eat some of the meal while I waited . When the waiter arrived , he asked perfunctorily how I had enjoyed my half eaten meal , I told him how it was barely edible at which point he left the bill and I never saw him again. I wonder what about my half eaten meal he missed . A hotel with a good location very comfortable beds but reminiscent of an English seaside resort hotel with a little bit of "Fawlty Towers " thrown in for good measure. Hollywood ?

Great locationPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: The bed was super comfortable! The food was yummy as well.
Cons: Could be cleaner. I am a picky about that, and we have a baby.. so that is a big one for us.
Location: 5 miles from all major Hollywood attractions.
We booked this hotel for the weekend, having never been to the Hollywood area before. The hotel is nice. Has modern furnishing, and very pleasant staff. We arrived early and were able to get checked in. It looks a bit more luxurious on line, but definitely a great value for the area. The food was good. The only downsides for us was the noise from the hall traffic and doors shutting was a bit loud, and the room wasn't as clean as I would have liked. (Bathroom tile was dirty, and corners of room could have been vacuumed a bit better. This hotel is pretty much 5 miles from all of the major attractions, so that was extremely convenient. If we ever came back to the area, we would stay again.

Pros: Balcony room that had everything we needed and we a quiet place for much needed rest.
Cons: While we could complain about having to valet park, for our needs it was one more detail that made this trip easier.
Location: We didn't spend much time in the area but when we did, we found excellent dining.
We were in Los Angeles for the worst reason we could be there. Without going into detail, I can only say that everyone at this hotel anticipated every need before we even thought we had them. From check-in to walking into our lovely room (we said we needed TLC at the front desk and were upgraded to a balcony room) to our so kind housekeeper, we got the attention these two weary travelers needed. While we didn't have the opportunity to dine here, other than breakfast room service which was lovely, the attention and witty conversation at the bar was just what our doctor ordered. Every staff member was amazing.

Stellar !Posted Feb 6, 2014
The staff are wonderful and the proximity to freeways and burbank airport and studios is ideal for anyone who knows LA and needs to get around using the 134 or the 5 in a rental car. The fitness centre and pool are deserted in the morning so workouts are a breeze. The valets are wonderful , the housekeeping staff goes the extra mile, and the front desk are really welcoming , as are the servers from the in room dining and lounge .

Decent hotel, great central locationPosted Jan 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great hotel, friendly staff. Walls were a bit thin though. We could hear the neighbor's phone conversations at 3am. A call to the front lobby solved that issue.
