The location was great!Posted Jul 17, 2015
My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding in LA. The room itself was ok. It was small and a little dingy, but clean. We had one king bed and it was pretty uncomfortable. It creaked every time you moved. The bathroom was nice and clean, but absolutely no counter space. The best part of this hotel is the location. It is about a block from the beach, a block from the 3rd Street Promenade and a 5 to 10 min walk to the pier. This is probably about the cheapest hotel you will find that is this close to everything. My one tip is to park your car and do not take it out again. The traffic is absolutely terrible and just not worth it. Just get Uber or Lyft to take you around Santa Monica. It is much less stressful that way

Slitet hotell med väldigt bra läge.Posted Jul 11, 2015
Hotellet ligger väldigt bra till, mitt emellan strand och shopping. Kanske något dyrt om man ser till standarden men som sagt här är det läget man betalar för.

Great hotel for those on a budget.Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Value for money, location.
Cons: The blinds and windows were a bit dirty.
Location: Great bars, restaurants, the pier and, of course, the wonderful beach. All a five minute walk away.
We had two nights in the Carmel in June. We had a very pleasant stay, the beds were comfy, the facilities were good and the location is incredible. Papers delivered in the morning to your door and complimentary pastries and coffee are a nice touch. Some have said the décor looks dated but I thought it was very pleasant. The only issue we had was with the blinds. Once we opened them we were unable to lower them again, and they were very dusty. But it didn't affect our stay and the hotel is great value for money, especially if you are looking for a couple of nights stop over in the beautiful Santa Monica.

Good for a quick visitPosted Jun 22, 2015
Location location location. One block from the Santa Monica pier and beach. Location can't be beat. This hotel is a functional clean bed and bath. This is NOT where you want to spend a weeks vacation. But for an overnight or two this will do. I probably won't return but I don't regret having been here one night.

Outdated but ConvenientPosted May 21, 2015
The staff was pleasant, a little hard to get any personality out of them. The rooms have outdated furniture but more comfortable than they look. Great water pressure. Great location with things to do very nearby.
