We chose this hotel due to being so close to the Carnival terminal. A beautiful property right on the water, but unfortunately there was a union protest going on that was allowed on the property. Right next to the main entrance a group was playing drums, blowing horns and chanting over bullhorns. Every 10 minutes or so they would march around the property doing the same with the obvious intent of making the guests want to complain or leave. It was VERY LOUD and started at 6am.
Why they are allowed on the property to do this is beyond Understanding. Usually this happens out at the street near the entrance, not marching around the rooms! I can only imagine the management is in on this. Considering it is a Hilton property, and at a price that matches.....well we won't be staying here again.
As to the rooms, they are beautifully appointed and the property is beautiful. They need more lighting in the rooms. With all the lights on, we still needed to use the lights on our phones to look in our luggage, etc.
If you stay here, make sure the unions aren't in control that day!
