Close to miracle mile, but far from perfection

Pros: Location
Cons: Accommodate requests like a room to do a quick change.
Location: La Brea Tar pits are worth the time. Lots of museum within walking distance.
Not very accommodating. Not customer focused. Could use a bit more cleaning and or updating

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Wilshire. The employees were very friendly and the hotel was nice.

Good hotel

The bed was comfortable and great quality of sleep; the room nice and clean but very small. Bathroom is beautiful but would prefer a bigger bedroom than large bathroom. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful but no tourist brochures available unless you ask for them. Not far from Beverly Hills.

From driving into Valet, front desk service, to the Roof restaurant . . . I had a great experience.

Wedding Room Block Request Probably Won't Happen

This was my 2nd stay & I was particularly disappointed this time. The staff was lovely, the room was large, & the location was great for my purposes. But, the floor was not cleaned during my 3-day stay. This saddened me greatly because we had such a good stay the last time. I'm not even sure that the bathroom floor was cleaned, which was critical since the walk-in shower area had no door and water soaked the floor by the sink area. I also decided not to use the soaking tub because there was no separation between it and the shower allowing water spray to land in the tub. I had no confidence that it was cleaned either. The cleaning staff also left standing water on the limited counter space in the bathroom. When I contacted the corporate headquarters about counting some of my nights towards the rewards program I signed up after checking in, I was informed that this wasn't possible because I used a 3-party booking service (definitely an oversight on my part). When I asked them about blocking rooms for the wedding, I was told to talk to the hotel directly. Corporate didn’t seem interested in my business. Finding a well priced, decent hotel near The Grove is not easy. I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet for future visits and pay a higher price in order to get a basic level of cleanliness.

high price, low standards?

the staff was great, but I have a couple complaints about the condition of my room. there was a stong cigarette smell in the bathroom upon entering. there was no bag for the ice bucket (which they quickly brought up), and the ice bucket was also filthy. lastly, there was a cockroach in my room crawling up the wall by the tv, not good for the romantic mood. again, the staff was really nice but the dirty room was very disappointing. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The staff was good but it ends there, the housekeeping was really bad, they just made the bed and left all the trash behind day by day. The food was not that good. I would reccomend this hotel if youre gonna stay just one or two nights. I stayed 10 nights and .. Well... I regret.
