Nice hotel close to Old Town

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Cheap and clean
Cons: Breakfast was marginal. Not everyone wants a fattening American-style breakfast. Coffee cups had no lids for to go service.
Location: Right across the street from Pasadena Community College and about 2 miles from Old Town.
The two room suite was a great value. It's very hard to find this type of room for a family at a reasonable price. Very clean and comfortable. However, please note that this is a "motel" not a hotel. Few amenities. Swimming pool the size of a thimble. Assuming you have a car, it is close to everything in Pasadena.

Pros: Free breakfast
The air is stuffy. There is no fresh air from the air conditioner. The only way to improve the quality of the air inside the room is to open the window.

Nice clean hotel, helpful staff

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Was clean and close to the interstate so easy to get about.
Cons: More protein at breakfast
Location: Good location to get into LA with just being far enough out to avoid the rush.
We needed a hotel as we were having our wedding near by, this hotel was both near and affordable. The room was clean, the décor was a little dated but that didn't bother us at all. The staff we're friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good and always kept stocked, though I would of liked more protein. We would stay here again.

great location for staying in Pasadina on a budget

Posted May 25, 2015
my family and i staid in this hotel couple years ago. it was nice visit, so we decided to book the same place in a recent visit. but for my dissappoitment it didn't feel the same: bathroom looked like needed to be upgraded, in a breakfast room always something didn't function, e.t.c. but i still think it's a good place to stay if you travel on a budget

Where I needed to be at a price I could afford.

Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: The shower was hot and the food was decent. I can't say the bed was spectacular, but I did not wake up sore the next day, so it did its job.
Cons: Change the name to the Howard Johnson Motel, because that is what this is. Add a hot tub, fix weather stripping, and comp when reservations ruined.
Location: Didn't go out, but the college was right next door.
First off, it was listed as a Hotel, but it is not one. This is a Motel by every definition that I have ever known, as the entry to the room is from the exterior at the parking lot. Second, when I checked in I was told that their system had an "error" and the room that I paid for was not available and they wanted to know if I wanted a single room with two queen beds or another single with a King, but without the dividing wall from the guest couch. I asked if I was getting a comparable room for the price that I paid and I was told yes. Since I was alone, this did not concern me in having the dividing wall partition, so I took the first floor room with a King. When I reached the room, the weather stripping on the door frame was ripped off from about shoulder height to the top and half of the top of the doorframe. This made a huge gap so that I could hear the air and see light coming through and I could hear every time someone walked by or talked at a reasonable tone outside. The cable did not work, but I was able to reboot the box and have it do a self check. Breakfast was nothing to drool over, but it did have a nice waffle machine; the kind you see at most Hotels (though this is a Motel). The bed was comfortable enough, the shower was nice and hot, and the food was decent, so if you only care about one, two, or all of those things, you will do just fine. I would stay here again, but if they mess up my reservation again, I am going to mention this experience and get comped.

Great Location as long as you have a car, although bus stop just outside. Good Breakfast. This was second time staying here and happy we did.

Pros: Have stayed here previously and the location is great
Cons: I would have them remodel the rooms so they look nicer
Location: Dodgers stadium, Rose Bowl
Showed up earlier than expected and I was charged a $15 upgrade fee to check in earlier than 3pm. When we got into the room it was dirty and they left the foldout bed in the living room. They bath/shower was not clean the previous hotel guest left their personal belongs and the hotel maids didn't clean this up
