Convenient & efficient

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: New beds
Location: Close to shopping & central location to everything in LA
Beds need replacing. Hard & uncomfortable. Hotel & room we're clean & staff were efficient. Breakfast was expensive & not much variety.

Could be better if we had two double beds

Posted Jul 1, 2015
we did not get two double beds despite our request while booking through Expedia. A coffeemaker in the room would have been nice too.

Old building, not good service

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: fresh flowers at check in
Cons: service and building quality - clean the air ducts and talk to your housekeeping staff.
When we got in there was a hair in the sink and hair on the floor. The carpet in the room was wet, which I just hoped was from a recent steam cleaning... Air conditioning thermostat doesn't function well. The worst part is I'm guessing those air ducts haven't been cleaned in years, so after 10 minutes of laying in bed I was so stuffed up I could barely breathe. Ended up having to have the balcony doors wide open all night. Thank goodness LA has no bugs. I really never thought getting "fresh" air from downtown LA would be better than a hotel's air conditioning, but this was really bad. Tub drain was clogged and we called to have them clear it, no one ever came - which we didn't find out until the next morning's shower. By that time it was too late. When I mentioned it to the front desk agent at check out she didn't really care. The "hydration station" on the floor is just a water cooler with no cups. They don't tell you to bring cups, so you need to make a return trip with one of the glasses from your room just to get some water. There was a lack of outlets, some of which didn't even work. The cable went in and out. Amenities were pretty bare for a Hyatt. No bathrobes. I wouldn't stay here again, as you can imagine.

Close to most tourist spots

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff and great room service.
Location: Great location especially with a rented car.
Nice hotel, conveniently located near most of the tourist spots. Spent one day sightseeing with starline bus. Enjoyed rest of the tourist spots on our own with a rented car. Liked LA a lot, especially the beaches. Had a great time at the Griffith observatory, Getty villa, the grove and the farmers market.

Great Weekend Get Away

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Pool / Staff
Cons: Breakfast prices were a bit steep.
Location: Great place to stay if your wish to be in the Hollywood area. We saw a concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
If you want a great hotel at a reasonable rate for the weekend, then stay here and enjoy the great pool and facilities for the summer.

Awesome Hotel

Posted Jun 20, 2015
We have stayed here previously and have always been very happy with our experiences. The service is great and they have one of the best bars in a LA hotel that we have seen.

Gorgeous hotel. Considering the location, it would be more suitable for the business trip, although there is a nice swimming pool and a big shopping mall in the next door. The fitness gym was a bit too expensive.

The front desk staff is atrocious... Really a shame for such an upscale hotel. They need to hire people that are more people friendly when checking in... One should feel welcomed when they first arrive. I literally would not stay here again JUST for that reason. There are plenty of other hotels in the vicinity.

You Call Those Towels?

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Beautiful location, beautiful lobby, attentive staff, and nice decor.
Cons: Bigger, fluffier towels that come back from the laundry without feeling damp.
Location: Century City...period.
The towels were small, tired and felt damp. The staff were friendly, attentive and best of all, my car was at the door within minutes of my call.
