Pros: The room was comfortable. The breakfast area was nice.
Cons: The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. There was hair from previous guests in bathtub and sink areas.
The hotel staff was very nice and escorted me to the room. The corridors were very muggy as was the room initially. The A/C in the room worked well to clear up mugginess but had no constant fan - so the unit turned on and off all night. For me. it was difficult to sleep. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear pretty well those around you. Other than that, a very comfortable room. Great view looking toward marina. I liked the balcony and the proximity of the airport.

It reminded me of a B&BPosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: I liked the large bathroom and the balcony. I also liked the homey atmosphere, home made cookies, breakfast and cocktail hour.
Cons: It would be nice if there was a pool and/or hot tub. And there should be warning signs to not walk north of the hotel on Culver Blvd.
Location: This hotel is located right between LAX and Marina Del Rey. It isn't the cleanest area in California, but it is pretty conveniently located.
We arrived late in the afternoon and we were greeted with home baked cookies, friendly staff and a homey environment. We were invited for wine and horderves, so we after settled in our very nice room, we returned to the comfy living area. Our room had a balcony overlooking a future nature/bird preserve area. We enjoyed a restful night sleep in the king bed. We were disappointed that there was no pool or hot tub, but we enjoyed walking on the beach bike path not far away. One thing we did not like is that we walked north on the Ballona Creek Bike Path, which leads around the marina and we wanted to walk back on the street.....bad idea. We walked on very dangerous Culver Blvd starting at the bridge that crosses Ballona Creek. Very BAD idea! If you walk on the beach path go south of the hotel, NOT north!

Beautiful B&B with a great view of the wetlands.Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: The staff was very friendly and inviting. All the little touches really set this place apart from a regular hotel.
We stayed here on our wedding night. The friendly staff had hand written notes, cookies, champagne waiting for us on our arrival. The room was absolutely beautiful and perfectly clean. We had a wonderful time.

Great place to stayPosted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: The views were great and the Inn charming
We stayed here for 3 nights , on the first night we stayed in a standard room at the front _ this as expected proved to noisy for a light sleeper like me we then upgraded to a room at the back , this was very quiet and had the most amazing view. Staff were lovely as was the breakfast , plenty of places nearby to eat a meal in the evening though aviod the Chinese next door. I would not hesitate to recommend or return to The Inn at Playa Del Rey.

Cape Cod in Del ReyPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Good bed, clear tv easy to use, convenient internet connections.
Cons: A swimming pool- more direct access to the beach.
Location: The problem is the location- off a major road looking at a wetlands preserve where you are not allowed to walk- The walk to the beach is not pleasant
The Inn is charming, well appointed with many signs of thoughtfulness including a delicious breakfast. The staff, which was varied in my one-night stay, were all gracious and helpful!

This is a great place to stay. This hotel is very cozy and clean. Noticed a few cob webs in the windows, bet everything else was emaculant. The staff is amazing, and the breakfast they serve is wonderful as well. Walking distance from many great restaurants, pubs and the beach. It's a little pricey, but totally worth it.

Peaceful and quaintPosted Jul 22, 2013
Stayed for our wedding anniversary. Peaceful and quiet. Nice location near the wetlands. Check in staff was friendly and showed us around. Afternoon wine, cheese and crackers and breakfast weren't as plentiful as we expected. The room was nice and relaxing but with closer inspection it's obvious that some freshening would be good. Wouldn't blink an eye if the room was $225/night. A bit expensive for what it is at over $300/night.
