Nice hotel downtown location

Posted Jul 24, 2015
It was a business trip and I would definetely recommend this hotel because it's fast check in and check out and its convenient location. They charge $42 parking fee, which is standard in the area. Bar at the lobby was open late and served food. Clean and expacious room. Nice LA views. Staff was friendly.

Not a flawless Birthday stay.

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Beautiful building. Stellar staff. Great location. The cocktail bar Mixology is great. Very fun lobby at night.
Cons: Staff seemed overwhelmed. Busier that weekend? Planning my whole night around this hotel to have Mixology be closed was my biggest disappointment
Location: L.A. LIVE is great to bar hop, when not late at night. Many things close by 10p. Close to lots of restaurants within 1 block. Close to USC too
I chose to stay at this hotel for the cocktail bar "mixology"? downstairs. I went there for my 29th birthday last year and had awesome service and a fantastic time. To my disappointment, the bar was closed for my BIG 30th Birthday. When I checked in, my room wasn't ready at 6pm and I was fighting the clock for a bday dinner reservation at 7. The desk person got us complimentary coffee and snacks (very nice guy) but I didn't have much time to do anything other than get my stuff to my room and rush to dinner. I was late by 20 minutes to my reservat I was hoping to have a bottle of Champagne waiting in my room on ice by the time I got back from the nights activities, but the concierge shut down before I got back from my dinner, so I ordered through room-service. When I got back from having a Birthday cocktail at another bar nearby, the bottle was not in my room. I called room service again, they brought it up fairly promptly, and the attendant, "Pam" was very nice and brought me a beautiful chocolate dipped strawberries dessert to go with my Champagne. She was the highlight of our night. Rated lower for the room comfort due to the size and layout of the room. It was a small room compared to any hotel or motel I've stayed at in the last 10 years and the bathroom gave very little privacy from the bedroom area but a sliding glass door and nothing to drown out the sound of "bathroom activities". The blackout curtains did not close all the way which was disappointing and annoying.

Great location for downtown action!

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Too much for valet parking
Nice hotel in a great location for downtown action! If you are visiting LA for sightseeing and studio action this is not the hotel for you. LA is way too big and has too much traffic. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were small and the beds are full-size which are way too small to sleep comfortably. Great valet service but plan to pay $42 for overnight guests.

Close to all of the events Downtown!

Pros: The room was so super clean and the staff was AMAZING!
Cons: NOPE!
Location: Right next to the Staple Center and all of The Downtown activities
The hotel is simply beautiful. Trip was for a "girlfriends" weekend. The staff was so very nice and helpful. Every request was fulfilled very timely - My only complaint was the room was a little small. But the accomodations were spectacular!

Fantastic hotel, great location

Stayed for 4 nights in the JW Marriott. Room with 2 double beds on the 8th floor was big, comfortable and clean. The only problem was that the double beds weren't big enough for 2 people in my opinion! Lobby was gorgeous, staff so nice and helpful and the swimming pool area was lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

Posted May 23, 2015
Pros:
Cons:
Location:
