Pros: Great place for parents and relatives visiting Cal Poly students, set in a beautiful quiet tree-laden hilltop perch on campus that welcomes travelers.

Perfect location before Cal Poly orientationPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is our 2nd stay, and while the location and service are still top notch, I was surprised that this room was not as well maintained as our first one. The carpet was well vacuumed but very stained (coffee?), broken hinge on the refrigerator door so it hung lopsidedly off the top hinge when open & seemed likely to fall off entirely, screen for sliding door completely off and leaning against the glass. Seems like these things should be noted during cleaning and at least the last 2 taken care of easily.

Not what I expectedPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
My only complaint is trying to find a hotel on a college campus. I think the website should mention this hotel is on the campus of Calpoly. We drove around for 20 min thinking the location was on the other side of the school.

Everything is fine, but the address is kind of misleading. It's hard to find if you are guided by a GPS.

Pros: surrounding area and breakfast
Cons: room decor can be updated
Location: Visited nearby Claremont Mckeena
We had booked a two night stay, but needed to cancel one of the nights. Although their policy would not allow it, the manager oked it. The free breakfast was one of the best that I have had and the staff is very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is just beautiful. There are little bunnies that run wild that my kids loved to find. The only drawback was that the room decor is a bit old and heavy looking. If you are a room snob, you will not be happy. The sheets were a bit thin, but the price, service, atmosphere and breakfast more than made up for this short comings.
