very funky coolPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable. Convenient
Cons: Soundproofing for the first floor.
Location: The Apple pan, old fashioned diner is around the corner opposite the mall. Very quaint. Very good food. Great apple pie.
Very nice place to stay. Better to stay upstairs because if you are downstairs and the people upstairs get up earlier than you want you will be up also with the noise. Not soundproof. Otherwise quite charming. Around the south corner there is an old fashioned diner called the apple pan, very inexpensive and great apple pie. Very convenient to other parts of the city. I would stay again.

great film noir LA Hotel. good coffee in morning. Solid WIFI. fabulous deli across the street. good bathroom products, and nice shower. only thing that might improve is the chair at desk--hard to sit in and work.

Sky Hotel was nice.Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Clean hotel, convenient location. Parking spaces monitored by camera at front desk.
Cons: The walls were thin; I could hear man in next room talking on his phone. Newer plush towels would be appreciated.
Location: restaurants, salons, UCLA, Westwood, Wilshire Blvd.
My stay at the Sky Hotel was nice. The location was convenient to my purpose for my trip.

Hotel with no windowsPosted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
This hotel seems to have been formerly a motel that has been converted to a hotel by means a plastic sheet. In some rooms, that leaves no sunlight and a window that opens to the corridor outside the room - for privacy's sake you would want to keep this closed. There is no refrigerator and the one bottle of water in place when I arrived was not replaced after the first day of a five day stay. I doubt the sheets were changed at any time during my stay. The hotel's wife is spotty and it can be annoying if you are trying to use skype to communicate. Finally, there is a narrow passage way to the parking lot ($15 / night) that is very hard to access if you have a larger car or there are cars parts in the right-most spaces. The hotel is walking distance from some some good restaurants and neighbourhood is safe. Most people visit Lenny's across the street - I can recommend the Monti Cristo on their menu. The location is good for access to Hollywood / Beverly Hills as well as the Santa Monica beaches.

Hanging out in Westwood.Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Kind of retro..Very comfortable and very cool.
Cons: The bar could be a little better.
Location: Middle of everything. Great food. Huge mall for shopping. Stones throw from the downtown area and the ocean.
Had a wonderful time, lots of different people, places and things to do.
