Just to get through LA traffic from San DiegoPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Location. Pet-friendly (even though we didn't bring our pets its nice to know there are still good quality hotels around that allow pets).
Location: Six Flags Magic Mountain.
We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located north of Los Angeles and allowed us to get a head start on our trip Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. We live in northern San Diego County and wanted to get through LA traffic on Tuesday night so that we could avoid LA traffic Wednesday morning on our way further north. It was also one of the few hotels in that area that specifically listed a sofabed which we needed for our child. The room was full of amenities we didn't need, but would serve well for a family of three staying there for a longer visit at 6 Flags Magic Mountain. It was a bit smaller than some hotel rooms we've stayed in, but not so cramped that it was annoying. The only negative, which is a complaint I have about every hotel these days, is the quality of pillows. Somehow the hotel industry considers soft, little square pillows that offer no support to be acceptable. Well...they aren't, so I'd recommend bringing your own pillow. The breakfast buffet is okay (waffle makers, pastries, limited eggs and ham, home-fries, yogurt), but the staff got quickly overwhelmed restocking food with a lot of guests trying to eat at the same time.

Pros: It's ok and price was right compared to another hotel close by.
Cons: Night staff need to a slight more attentive and welcoming.
Location: Magic Mountain is about 5 minutes away and lots of places to eat and shop are also close by.
Stayed here on my way to Suisun City because I did not want to drive all the way in one day. Hotel was on a street that was just a little difficult to get to even with navigation especially at night. Hotel registration staff person was okay but not the best. Got a room close to the elevator that you could hear each time it went up or down. Recommendation from another staff person about a good restaurant in the area was good. For being a non-smoking hotel they sure used a lot of air freshener that was real noticeable.

Way stopPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Clean, good bed, good choice for breakfast, pleasant staff.
Location: Good choice of restaurants. We did not use the close location to 6 Flags.
We stayed as an overnight between the Bay Area and San Diego because of the normal congestion going through LA in the late afternoon.

Good Location & AffordablePosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Price is reasonable. Well presented and close to shopping and food
Cons: Nothing springs to mind
Location: Plenty of big box shopping and food chains nearby
Chose this hotel because it was one of the cheaper ones in the Los Angeles area. No problems, a short drive from the main centre, but hey, you need a car to get anywhere in LA anyway

basic but clean and comfyPosted Oct 12, 2013
Came in after a long drive, staff was efficient, breakfast was decent, the room was very clean and the beds comfy. Definitely a bonus for being dog friendly, even has a lush relief area with a path and poo bags! :)

Room not as expected or describedPosted Oct 7, 2013
We reserved a King Suite with a pullout sofa, we had 4 adults total. Thinking the sofa bed would accommodate the two other people, turns out, it was a twin sofabed. We had to go down to the front desk to resolve this, their response was "oh, guess I forgot" to bring the cot...a cot? (Note...this was an "upgrade" from out original reservation, which cost us an additional $20+ dollars. Make sure you get a specific description of what exactly you will be sleeping on. The blanket on the bed was a thin as the sheets.

Pros: Clean, Attractive, Comfortable with a very good breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom exhaust didn't seem to be working in our room. Eventually, they'll need to upgrade to flat screen tvs.
This is a beautiful hotel. We only needed a quick overnight stay, but the hotel is nice enough for a longer stay. We needed a room for three with 2 queen beds. The room was very nice. The TV is still the old style, but we didn't watch it anyway. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds behind the hotel are very nice, with a very nice swimming pool. The breakfast room was great and the breakfast food and beverage selection was better than most places we have stayed that advertised a continental breakfast. We were there on a Saturday morning and there was scrambled eggs, fried potatos, sausage patties, make your own waffles, yogurt, a variety of cereals, etc. What more could you want? Overall, this was a very positive experience.
