Pros: Located near many good and inexpensive Asian (particularly Chinese) restaurants.
Staff is courteous, but virtually the whole hotel (both the staff and the guests) are Chinese, so there can be some difficulty in English communication. Electricity went out for a couple of hours during our first night (roughly 9 - 11 pm). Showers have difficulty maintaining a constant temperature. There are intermittent releases of ice-cold water that makes showering quite unpleasant.

Pros: see above
Cons: It also seems to work quite well for the Asians.
Location: see food above
Colorado Blvd - the parade route. As apparently the only Anglos there that nigh,t we were both pleased to gain the experience without travel to China. The manager, Andy, fluent in English, checked us in, gave us a further discount for the second night and responded to my request for the best place to eat dinner. Mamma Lu's, one short block away was a fascinating experience. The 15 minute wait near diners gave us the chance to see what was being ordered and eaten. Our Chinese meal was great.. The nearby bakery provided food for the early morning trip to the parade. This Lincoln Plaza experience caused us to go, a week later, to Chinatown, Las Vegas just of the Stirp -- another place tourist should go.

Our first room had water dripping from ceiling. Ceiling was popcorn with water damage and it had dripped on one of the beds. Went back to front desk and requested another room. All the lady said "it rained yesterday". Next room had not been vacuumed, as there was white specs of lint under TV stand and small round table. When we returned the next night, specs were still there. No coffee maker in room, just a water warmer. Also only one decaf coffee packet. Asked for a regular packet from maid, but said no. Beds had cheap mattresses.

Extra steps to check-in through expedia reservatio

Posted Jan 5, 2015
The staff was making it difficult for me to check-in while I made reservation through expedia. The room was not clean, hair dryer was broken, wifi signal was weak and disconnected very often. Extra "cash" charge for roller-bed. bad experience.

Comfortable Older Hotel in Chinatown

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Restaurant, room.
Cons: Need scoop for ice machine. Add pastries from MoMo's Bakery to breakfast.
Location: Easy access to Colorado Blvd without using freeways.
Room was clean and comfortable. Price good. Excellent location for our visit to the Rose Parade. Although the continental breakfast was toast and coffee, the hotel restaurant was delicious. We shared the walnut shrimp and stuffed ourselves. Many locals eat there. Lovely views of mountains.

Didn't feel welcomed. Hotel is in China town.

Rented the room through Expedia. Rooms were clean. That's the best part. Hotel is very outdated. Staff sucked. We set reservations for 4. Went to breakfast and the lady running the breakfast was very rude and said only 2 of us could eat. Breakfast was cold toast and orange slices. Horrible. Please don't advertise this as breakfast. Would never recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

Not a comfortable hotel

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Only the location.
Cons: Everything
Location: Lots of restaurants and the message place next to this hotel was good
Hotel is old and not as clean. My daughter found a toe nail on the bed. The refrigerator was not working. The bed matress and the pillows were so hard and too uncomfortable. The soap holder was broken in the bathtub. I would not go back again.
