We read before our trip that the hotel had recently been re-done. We were pleased to find an updated, clean hotel for our one night stay in the Hollywood area. Our only disappointment was the pool area was very crowded and we had to wait awhile for chairs. The food/bar service by the pool was friendly and efficient which made our wait more tolerable! We would recommend this holt to friends!

Excellent hotel, close to tourist attractions

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: better pillows would be nice also would be nice to have more then 3 devices on the free wifi
Location: Tours, Shopping, restaurants the buses and metro was very close( although I didn't use them)
All good, close to tourist attractions, starline tours offers some of the best tours. The tour sales office is found right next door to hotel ( in Chinese theatre) Hiking in the Runyon Canon and you will have a great view of LA. Restaurants and shopping all close to hotel. Warner brothers tour is great fun , lots to see.

Good Location

I suppose if you want to stay right in the middle of Hollywood it's handy, but it's pretty expensive for what you get. Sticking points would obviously be that for the price you pay you don't even get a fridge, that's extra, and wifi is limited to only 3 devices. The room layout was pretty silly with massive bathroom areas but no bath or second hand basin, waste of a lot of space.

perfect for Hollywood Bowl trip

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Loews Hollywood just has a lot of style - all in the right places. It's not too pretentious or overtly "hip" -- it's just a really cool place to stay
Cons: We'll leave the "improvements" to the professionals -- everything was spot on as far as we're concerned.
Location: We walked everywhere - Hollywood Blvd, The Hollywood Bowl, breakfast, lunch and dinner... did some shopping right next door -- tons to do right there.
We wanted a nice hotel for our trip to see Underworld at the Hollywood Bowl -- something classy and memorable. Loews Hollywood Hotel delivered. The room was clean, had a great view, the staff was accommodating -- Dexter was one of the coolest bartenders we've ever met (and made a perfect Gimlet.) The pool and sun deck were perfect. We'll definitely stay there again.

Best Hotel in Hollywood!!

Posted Jul 10, 2015
I stayed at the Loews for 7 nights while visiting LA. After a long drive from San Francisco, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the hotel staff! They upgraded our rooms to a view of the the Hollywood sign because of a special birthday in the family. The hotel has a beautiful scent and in the lobby and they have cold tasty cucumber water which you can drink at any time. The concierge Nico was extremely helpful and friendly! The shops and restaurants in and around the hotel were very useful. I had a great stay at the Loews hotel and I am definitely coming back to stay next time!

Great place to stay!

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: Loved the staff, comfort, cleanliness and safety.
Cons: The only small disappointment was the last full day we were there, we had company come back to the room with us and the maid service did not come.
Location: We ate at the Roosevelt hotel restaurant, walked to the Chinese theater and adjacent Hollywood and Highland shopping mall, as well as other restaurant
We stayed 4 nights and were able to see many areas of interest in LA. We were located close to the Chinese theater and Universal Studios. The staff were awesome and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Good hotel with a great location!

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location to everything.
Cons: Was only there one night so can't really comment on this.
Location: Universal Studios, Walk of Fame, Wax museum, etc.
Excellent location if staying for a night or two especially if you've never been to the Hollywood area before AND if you plan on going to Universal Studios. It's a very busy area with tourists, etc. but that's whey we were there. Never been to LA/Hollywood before so this was a perfect location for us as the walk of fame was literally right down the street as well as various tours, etc. Universal was maybe 10 minutes down the road as well. Couldn't beat the location but as stated it's a busy area.

Great hotel. Great Location

Loews is physically connected to the Hollywood and Highland shopping and entertainment complex, so if you want Hollywood to be the focus of your visit, this is the place. Only potential negative is that their mattresses are VERY soft.

Right in the Center of it All

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: There is easy access to shops, restaurants, theaters and tour buses without having to cross a street...or even go to the street in most cases.
Cons: I've never been a fan of things sitting around in my room I have to pay to use that I wouldn't use anyway. Include it or get rid of it.
Location: Within the block of the Chinese theater, subway and dozens of shops. To get to slightly further out attractions, you may have to cross an intersection
I stayed for 7 nights. I had a great view of Hollywood facing southwest. The location was the best for everything you'd want to do in Hollywood.
