Close to beach

Friendly staff. Big room. Clean. Drug deals after 10pm in parking lot. Loud music and people crashing into pool barrier while high trying to park. Great for people watching.

comfortable stay

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Had a nice remodled room. Clean
Cons: Did not like that I was charged $30 for parking the day that I checked out for having my car in the lot after check out. Was way overpriced
Location: Walking distance to all the major attractions in long beach
Hotel was OK. I got charged $30 for parking the day I was leaving. I had a remodled room. Not to bad.

Good place to stay

Posted Mar 9, 2015
We were in Long Beach for a conference at the convention center. The Travelodge was a close walking distance to the convention center, plenty of places to eat, and a Von's. The room was better than expected for a Travelodge!

Ok, but certainly not great.

Posted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: The room is comfortable, and has all the basics.
Cons: The room wasn't completely clean and smelled a bit weird when we arrived. The building itself clearly hasn't been renovated in a long time.
Location: It's about a 15 minute walk from the tourist/convention area.
It's a decent hotel, but below average for a Travelodge. It's a little run down, but not the worst I've been in. Pretty good location. Would recommend if you need to stay close to the beachfront area or conference center, you're on a tight budget, and you don't have too high of standards.

Great location

Posted Mar 4, 2015
I stayed at the hotel for a conference trip. Its location was great - close to the convention center, tons of restaurants, and the aquarium (sea lions!). We ended up with a handicapped-accessible room, which wasn't needed, but the extra room in the bathroom/shower was great. The building is a bit older but everything works, for the most part. Our coffee pot wasn't 100%, though. The pot appeared to have been replaced at some point and wasn't compatible with the rest of the appliance--it didn't allow the coffee to flow from the basket to the pot.

Unfair Practices

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Cons: Customer service
Location: Unfortunately the neighborhood where this motel is located seems a little unsafe
When I arrived for check in at 3:00 am I was told there were no rooms available despite the fact that I had a prepaid reservation three months in advance. I was moved to a run down hotel down the street that would have normally booked for $50.00 per night. I was being charged $105.00 per night but due to the convention that was in town they were now booking for $196.00 per night. I was moved so that they might charge the additional cost for my room instead of upholding their commitment to my original pricing. If I had not insisted on being moved back into the Travelodge after staying a night in the run down motel I am certain they would have let me stay there. This is an unfair practice and unprofessional. I was not pleased after having been treated this way. I want to make sure the same thing will not happen to someone else.

No Breakfast For You!

Posted Feb 24, 2015 on Hotels.com
Good location with regards to restaurants, Aquarium, and beach. Rooms were clean and quiet, and they gave us connecting rooms. Free parking is also a plus. Negatives include that the pool is a joke and only 1 ice machine which never has ice. Big negative is they admit advertising free buffet breakfast, but don't have a breakfast, nor do they offer a discount at the Café next door. Is that legal?

Served its purpose.

It was a place to keep our things and sleep. A bit pricey for that.
